If old games are your jam...
Why dispense with old but still working HW? Are you really that hard up for space? I doubt it.
I think you have things backwards. A lot of PS4 gen PS exclusive 1st party games still look decidedly this gen!
I'm saying PS4 games were ahead of the curve. Driveclub still looks great next to FH5 and GT7. I go back to it regularly and have yet to see anything on any platform beat Driveclub in every area in the racing genre. Even GT7 on PS5 has some shortcomings compared to Driveclub.
A genuine Xbox enthusiast's take. Opposed to the typical fanboy take we see from the usual suspects.
If the price hike could help them make better software, why should anyone complain. Preposterously the Xbox fanboys are actually cheering Game Pass sales on in the hope that they will somehow get more high quality games with less money. Even worse the fanboys believe Xbox had loads of HQ 1st party games to begin with. Xbox's best games were IP MS purchased with Halo and Gears ...
@SurgicalMenace
100% agreed, even given my current situation.
I don't like even asking for money so I avoid it as much as possible and I'm young have all my appendages and can work for a couple hours a day not even long enough to work my regular job anymore. I can't even sit up comfortably to play games I like more than 4 hours anymore (more like 3 hours max these days unless it's a good day). My parents think it's BS and yet I just found out my father ha...
@Crows90
Not wrong, not evil especially assuming the context is the same for the friend as it is for Game Pass sub fanboys.
Imagine hosting your friend for years maybe even decades while they sit on their behind doing the bare minimum. Has a different feel. Now if I had the means I wouldn't have a problem hosting a friend for a year like if their house burned down or was ripped apart by a tornado, flooded or something serious like that. But to just room a frien...
@SullysCigar
The last one before your colonoscopy? That's when you're really empty.
MSFS was broken on launch and still doesn't offer offline modes which is baffling as they still lock "Offline Map Data" that you downloaded to your PC hard drives behind... being ONLINE!
I have the game and the ownership license that forces me to boot the game online. After that I can play offline so long as I don't log out of my PC or turn it off. I still cannot use offline map data when offline though... weird. I also didn't pay the normal $60 for just the bas...
@TheLigX
How many games would you have without those corporations?
Hmm...
@WeAreLegion
Are you kidding me!?
I work for a massive corporation and when they do well we little guys also see increases in pay. What hurts us more than anything is when states choose to increase minimum wage which increases cost of living far faster than the generally slower inflation rate (which also doesn't apply in this particular point in time due to rampant government spending during the pandemic which effected basically every nation on Earth save for North Korea...
So many disagrees from clueless fools that clearly know absolutely nothing about this. That said I even disagree with your second post in this thread as publishers either already organized a deal with their devs so that the developer itself gets a sizable cut of their games sales (meaning devs effectively DO get paid directly based on sales).
Regardless your other comment was also agreeable; as a company does better, often times so to do their associates/employees. I don...
So... No royalties and licensing agreements then?
Do you really think publishers pay only once for any games sold on their platforms?
The rumble in the Xbox One controller triggers is noisy weak and hard to differentiate from the main motor vibrations. These triggers work in FH3 and 4 but unfortunately you also cannot configure trigger rumble and controller vibration independently either.
I play FH 3, 4 and 5 on PC using the Xbox One gamepad and trigger vibration works but only when you turn in controller vibration and it scales with controller vibration too meaning it ultimately gets drown out.
...
Accessibility settings? Vibration anx trigger strength is located under controller settings only last I checked (yesterday). There are four settings for each of the two features including off.
@Iceman100x
I've had a gaming PC since 2017.
PS5 is impressive and a much more capable gaming machine compared to my 2017 laptop. I mean don't get me wrong I'm still running FH5 maxed out at 1080p30 and if I'm feeling dangerous 1440p~30 (including RT which was added to in-game racing earlier in November), but Spider-Man Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and GT7 aren't games with visuals that I've seen on PC. What's sad is PC fanboys treat 8k960 as if ...
@gangsta-red PC gets by because it leaves users with outdated HW behind entirely. Just because we can still run the latest games at 1080p30 with or without RT (depending on the game) or can hit 60 (depending on resolution) using GTX 10 series cards now, doesn't mean we will be able to until the end of this console generation.
There are technically plenty of Next-Gen only PC games too, Metro: Exodus is RTX only as are Minecraft's RT worlds. Games like Spider-Man (bot...
This is a GREAT POINT! Unlike a lot of tools here.
PS and Xbox need to allow us to back up ALL of our data and the ability to install it in parts if need be. If I don't want to play a games SP right now in lieu of MP I should not only have the ability to delay of cancel that portion of the games install (if low on space for example) but also be able to move that game onto external storage. They're still protected by DRM associated with an account if purchased digitally or a d...
@darth72
So pay more for a subscription service to play games remotely that should've been made to run fine on the console you bought at the end of the gen which the company said they would support for three years but dropped 2 years in?
Does that make sense? Does that fill you as a customer with hope that this company will live up to future promises (especially as it misses release after release or drops duds like Halo: Infinite)?
Seriously who buys a...
@VenomUK
MS has people in Government in the U.S. I hope MS holds no seats in Parliament as they do in Congress.
At some point PS4 will get no new games. Xbox Series S is part of this gen PS4 isn't.
@SurgicalMenace
What makes their complaints even more puzzling is that they forgot that their PS5's play PS4 games. BC isn't long forgotten just not easily obtainable on the current HW.
Obviously it is possible PS3 games were ported to PS4 with enhancements all the way around games like Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 all made the cut on PS4 with enhancements in all areas which was previously thought impossible by gaming media. Even so PS4 games work just fine on PS5 ...
