20 years late? That is a very weird thing to say considering that 20 years ago PlayStation 2 was the only backward compatible home game console.
Nintendo gets an F seriously. The Switch isn't a brand new device it is turning 5 and Nintendo still didn't even bother to show up this year. Nintendo's 10% showing is still selling Switch's like it is a important food group... goes to show you that sales mean nothing for quality.
PlayStation did well this year and it wasn't even their best year by a long shot even so they were the only publisher pushing all their chips in on next gen at least at the sta...
@ps360owner09
Sucker Punch was acquired during the end of the PS3 era so Ghost of Tsushima is a PS first party game unless you can prove it took more than 7 years for Sucker Punch to make it.
I apply the same logic to Microsoft meaning Halo from 5 onwards is 1st party and Forza Horizon was always 1st party as they created Playground Games iIrc and funded their games from the shambles of the Bizarre Creations team of PGR fame.

@Tacoboto
Flight Simulator everywhere is still in beta, but thankfully after the few months since it came to Xbox CTD for us PC users has become less frequent. Actually a third of the six titles you listed are ports or re-releases while only two are non-PlayStation releases and honestly of those the gaming world is split on whether FH5 is any good and many are already disappointed with Halo Infinite's campaign.
Me personally... I spent big gamer bucks on the de...
And the game is still available on disc.
Or you can buy them on disc.
I know that's a novel concept.
Really? This reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima, that game had amazing weather effects and scenery mostly driven by a more than competent particle system.
This isn't ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination.
Indeed they are a shadow of themselves. They pretty much already had their crescendo by 2005.
@KyRo
I've never seen a Bethesda game that was utterly broken from start to finish. Even their worst games (which are decidedly a hot mess) they were still not even close to being technically broken as Cyberpunk 2077 and we have to set the bar really really low because a lot of Bethesda releases come close to being technically incomplete. Now Cyberpunk 2077 is technically incomplete with absolutely broken AI from simple animations to how they function in the world, lots of broken...
Digital Foundry's channel was just terminated according to YT for violating community guidelines.
What guidelines. Guess we'll have to follow their Twitter to find out.
What a waste of an article.
Article: 'PSP Go was ahead of its time because it was digital only'
The reality PSP Go was ahead of its time because it basically did everything. It was smaller, lighter, quieter had the same battery life despite a smaller battery, it could be played on a TV with a PS3 controller and was the first console with any kind of game resume feature.
Yeah way back in 2010 the PSP Go allowed users to play a game and stop that gam...
Translation: If there are Xbox gamers in Japan who buy from that retailer or if other retailers follow suit they'll need Gamepass and a PC because you can't buy the console anymore.
Xbox looks at this as a positive?
But I can still play GT6 offline... what about GT7? For that matter what about GTS when PD moves on from that??? Oh right... YOU LOSE YOUR ACCESS TO THOSE TITLES FOREVER!
Sounds like a deal. SMH
You literally just argued that their current online only title didn't prevent cheating... and now they're forcing that on people who play offline too as it it even matters if they cheat.
As someone else said cars that require DRM licenses to obtain (aka: Paid content only) wouldn't work in your PS4/5 via a savegame file edit because you don't have the license for said content which isn't handled by the game, instead by the system.
Rega...
Way more drawbacks like NEVER EVER BEING ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME AGAIN after PD move to GT8.
You know just tiny little details like that.
Separate saves.
Seriously that is my answer and it's a rock solid one. If you need to be online to play online have a different save file. Not that hard. Of course they could gamify MP itself (which they shouldn't have any problems with since that is exactly that GTS has been doing for years now).
There is ZERO excuses for locking SP behind a constant network connection.
FM is trash though... still if GT continues down this path I might have no choice but to get my fix from Forza Motorsport. I'm not sure that will be a thing... then again right now I still don't see a problem with GT Sport, but it remains to be seen if they will continue to support GTS after GT7 comes out having some of the same key tenets.
That said I stopped buying NFS and didn't pick up other EA games with Online only SP experiences. That is just a bridge too...
We don't need a constant connection to post a comment or even to watch non-streaming content on YT (because the way most of these things work is not by requiring constant connections to function). GT Sport requires a CONSTANT CONNECTION.
Asphalt 9 Legends requires a CONSTANT CONNECTION as well. If you lose your connection for more than 10 seconds the game restarts. It can happen at any time too. Just finished a particularly challenging race but lost your connection befo...
Yeah no.
They should make an online only save file to prevent online cheating. Many games do just this as far back as PS2 on PlayStation hardware. There's no real reason for this at all.
[Looks at PC]
"Why aren't you playing games from before 2000!"
[Growing look of anger]
"30 years of BC MY ARSE!!!"
Seriously PC is s•••.
