Tango is a dev under Bethesda which is part of Zenimax. Microsoft acquired Zenimax and everything under their umbrella. Tango had no choice in the matter.
The more you know...
We tried to warn everyone in favor of these buy-outs.
Try bad or even downright dumb business. Calling it "evil" is just ridiculous. Not everything can be evil you just dilute the word.
Years?
Try several decades, and in the gaming space 2.3 decades.
@romulus23
That is not why MS buys studios. They might continue to buy because it's about taking that sweet sweet IP out of the corporate husks of their acquisitions.
That is not what this means. PS isn't stupid like Microsoft. They will still likely release other PS titles on PC in the future even a couple day and date ones just like HellDivers, but for big PS releases expect to continue waiting.
Some PC released PS games will earn you trophies on Steam and PSN simultaneously. This doesn't mean games will launch day and date in the future as a rule. PSN already has trophy lists like this from PS3-5 including PS Vita.
They're reading too much into this. PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 had cross-platform trophy lists and select PS4 and PS5 games also have this. Some of the cross-platform lists existed even when lots of time existed between re-releases. These morons are acting as if cross-platform trophies indicates simultaneous PS & PC releases.
The reason PS is as healthy as it is... is because the ecosystem still has its own unique identity and worthwhile games library. PS5 by far and away has the least exclusives because of the recent PC push but even with it there are still a small selection of worthwhile exclusives and 3rd party games being easier to pick up and play without issues (which you see on PC).
The reality is exclusives matter; PlayStation gamers have been beating that drum for over 2 decades and it&...
What is HFW missing gameplay wise that HZD had?
@TheVilsuZ
My phone probably costs more than your desktop PC. Poverty isn't the issue here. Most people just don't see value in PC gaming. There are billions of PCs on Earth and yet PC gaming is still the smallest portion of the gaming pie out of console, PC, and phone gaming markets.
It might only have around 90% of the power of a 2013 console.
@Sonic1881
To rape each studio for their sweet succulent ultra-valuable IP. This is Microsoft's favorite past-time.
Ready At Dawn was never a PS first party studio.
Manchester was closed and it was proposed that London should be closed, but their website is still up with no news about it being closed on their official site anywhere. So it's possible that the proposed closure just did not happen to get fufilled. Meaning London Studio *MIGHT* still be open running lean.
Edit: Japan Studio was closed with some staff making up the new Asobi Team Studio who's first title was ...
Well... I did my part. Hi-Fi Rush is a good game, but I don't think its MS' style. We don't really know how well it did or didn't perform by the numbers or whether it broke even. This could just be another MS blunder.
Yeah they did. Just because they refused to see what everyone with a brain was telling them doesn't mean they didn't know. They were told, they should've put up a fight and they didn't. This is the result. But who knows even if MS' fans weren't such boot-lickers, MS could've carried this out against their fans wishes anyway. Unfortunately, we have the hardcore MS defense bots running to deflect from any bad news and maybe, just maybe, MS felt empowered to do more d...
No one wants to admit it, but yeah MS has a long history of pillaging other smaller corporations for IP and dispensing with everything else.
Somewhere deep down... I knew they would cut Tango off. They don't make Xbox style games.

@VersusDMC
Team Asobi is basically Japan Studio. A few key people left which is not cool but more or less it was a name change instead of a true closure. Japan Studio made the original Astro Bots game.and now Team Asobi does that. I hope they can still make some wackier games... but maybe they can't because the Japanese government like American government doesn't fund game developers directly or indirectly anymore.
