Totally the reason only 1 store had a single headset available. PS must have so much backstock they aren't selling to retailers! /s

Valorie Curry is her name... not sure why that's not even in the short summary. Why is this gaming news though?

Imagine a child safety advocate switching gears and targeting how a business sells games, weird right? I could be wrong, and maybe old blonds in England with the name Vicki Shotbolt are a dime a dozen... but assuming this is the same Vicki Shotbolt of The Parent Zone, her company The Parent Zone partnered with MS in 2014. That's a long time ago I know, but apparently Shotbolt has ties with the UK government.

I'm not saying anything, but MS doesn't let partnershi...

Vicki's company ParentZone has partnered with MS in the past. Wonder if their partnership is ongoing? I can't find anything on such short notice. Might be MS pulling their levers of power yet again. After all what do they have to lose?

"There are 7.7 million parents with children at home in the UK, which means that nearly 4 million parents could be doing more to protect their children online . To help parents get to grips with the tools at their disposal, Micro...

GT7, Stellar Blade, Astro Bot, and probably a few others just this year alone. On top of that, depending on what PC HW you, or anyone else who complaining about how wrong I am, might not run this years existing and upcoming 3rd party multiplatform games on their PCs as well as PS5/XSX might run them (including min/max performance and min/max resolutions at console-like visual settings).

@Shiore2u
Are you really going to try and gaslight me (a PC to console convert who still owns a 2017 gaming laptop - which in 2017 was high-end not to be confused with top-tier) into believing PC has the best User Experience? Is Windows 11 the epitome of best user experience for gaming today? Are you being genuine!? Of course not. No one would say that except a fanboy. PC has so many more issues mostly due to radical HW fragmentation which is undeniable and yet still ignored by PC di...

Lol this title is such click-bait.
"Nintendo effectively have two parts to their business: platform and IP. The platform business is everything from hardware sales, accessory sales, subscriptions and store sales. These companies receive a large cut of the revenue (30 percent in most cases) for every third-party game sold on its platform, so the platform business is an extremely lucrative and important part of their income. There's a reason why Sony was mortified at the idea ...

Right, Mario VR would be a PC/PS5-PSVR2 exclusive... or they could attempt budget VR on Switch again. Either way if Nintendo started putting their bigger games on PS or PC now they'd dilute their brand and the desire for potential customers to buy into their ecosystem. That said Nintendo isn't a stranger to 3rd party releases. In 2017 or so they agreed to have Nvidia's Lightspeed Studios release older GameCube and Wii games officially on the Nvidia Shield TV for the Chinese market...

Just Microsoft. Sony doesn't own Lego or the rights to publish Lego games. They did agree to their IP being used in Lego's game. If Horizon: Zero Dawn, Forbidden West or the next game in the series launched on other consoles your argument would make sense, but that isn't happening.

I guess people are having real difficulties understanding how licensing like this works (not you, but the two disagress as I write this). Lego is not owned by PS. PS also doesn't have the publishing rights to Lego games. PS agreed to allow their IP to be represented via Lego sets back in 2022. PS probably only makes a small royalty off those because it's PS' IP represented through the property of another company.

This game is basically the same thing. PS provide...

Congrats on graduating to the platform that has the potential for offering the best HW and worst experience with fewer high quality games.

A great decision there, really!

@Crows90
MSFS existed in 1982.
Xbox didn't exist until 2001.
The only successful IP Xbox created that is still relevant now is Forza Horizon from 2012 to present (they even destroyed Forza Motorsport recently). Fable started 3rd or 2nd party as did Gears of War and so many more IP.
It really is incredible that Xbox has no genuine 1st party IP that it created from scratch all that time ago and nurtured from the OG Xbox to present.

Zelda on 3DO, Mario on PC... you are just too young to remember. Probably too young to remember Nintendo ports to Nvidia Shield TV too.

PS and Nintendo had no E3 presentation this year... Maybe this is why everyone is acting like Xbox had a megaton showcase?

586d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Again grading small PS State of Play event vs a full-fledged Xbox E3 showcase. PS told us they have no E3 and while that SoP didn't measure up well against this Xbox Showcase event. This Xbox Showcase event was in actuality pretty weak.

100% in agreement with both of you.

This is Xbox's E3. D+
Of course PS' E3, which was basically their SoP and was really bad. F and being real Astro Bots looking incredible doesn't bring that grade up because it was literally the only good looking game there and I'm not even in the minority with that opinion with the biggest disappointment being Concord. Now Concord might turn out to be good even great, but I don't see myself buying it. I skipped HD2 and probably won't ever play it just like Con...
