I'm not going to ask where you live, but yeah, that would do it. It's clearly not the only thing putting Xbox in last though as that's true even in NA where all three brands are very much available.
Because most people who buy game consoles like games, and PlayStation generally has more games than Xbox.
Good. They're going to need them.
You have a family to support and you're making sacrifices to their December to get a PS5 at launch? I don't know whether to applaud your commitment to your hobby or chastise you for making what's clearly not the adult choice, not to mention one that affects others besides yourself.
Whoa. Good luck XSX. I was getting a PS5 anyways but this just makes it that much more clear that it's the right choice.
@mkis007 That is true, though there are factors such as quantity of games, how well said games hold up today (which isn't really an issue with classic Mario titles), and how they play in their current format including controls (Nintendo has a history of different control schemes and all three games here were actually originally played with different controllers). It's not all about menus, resolution options and extras. Some time will need to be spent playing each of the games, which...
Yeah...I imagine compilations are difficult to score for this reason. Do you judge them purely on the games included, do you look at emulation and/or remastering quality, extra content, or some combination of all of the above (which I think is generally how they’re scored)? Some such reviews even go off on tangents about menus.
Conversely, a typical modern game tends to be reviewed as a game. There are far fewer moving parts to consider there as it’s all just a deep dive...
They probably will be, even if it takes someone developing some third party software to make it happen. PC is versatile like that. I'm not expecting any of the extra features of the controller to work on PC, but if you want to use it as a controller, that will probably be an option. Of course, you could just run a DS4 on PC with existing software, and that's probably going to be the much more straightforward and economical option even if someone makes it so Dualsense is an option t...
At least my PS5 will come with one. Also, given how much Nintendo's PoS Joycons can go for, I'm perfectly alright with paying more than a DS4 for what promises to be a solid piece of tech if I want a second one.
I'm sure it is. Xbox consoles do ok in sales, but they're probably not doing as well as MS would hope. They probably see more dollar signs elsewhere. But, that they don't see much of a future in consoles can be largely attributed to the fact that they themselves can only achieve so much success and revenue from them.
They're absolutely justified in trying their hand at new options that open up, but let's be clear that it's first and foremost the f...
Well, if that happens the XSX is screwed since that's kind of the thing MS is pushing as a defining feature. The PS5 doesn't need PS Now to the extent that the XSX needs Gamepass.
By continuing to convince gullible people that they singlehandedly define the future of gaming, and putting more of their eggs in the service basket to augment their bottom line in lieu of at least a good half of the hardware sales that their competitors enjoy.
You're doing that thing that Xbox fans do where they assume that whatever MS is doing singlehandedly defines where the industry as a whole is heading. Meanwhile, back and Earth, Sony and Nintendo don't seem to be transitioning their brand towards being a service. Sure, their consoles have services, and will continue to do so, but they're first and foremost about selling hardware with top-notch games. Why can't MS grasp that concept?
I'm all for fighting climate change, but if a handful of airplanes augmenting the supply of PS5s in one season ends up being the straw that breaks the camel's back regarding the planet, it wasn't going to make it anyways. You can refrain from buying a PS5 over this, but there are much more meaningful things you can do if you're really that anxious about the environmental impact of human activity, starting with your own.
As for me, I'm not buying one rig...
I take it MS is like the KFC/Taco Bell of gaming? Sure, that might fit some definitions of "value", but it's not exactly fine dining.
Lulz, and MS will need to sell enough Xbox units, or with the XSS holding back multiplats, some studios may just prefer to make PS5 exclusives instead.
Because a link to the same article is on the homepage.
That's true. I'm sure MS would much rather sell more XSX units than they managed with the XB1 though. It's no Vita or WiiU in terms of lifetime sales, but it's no PS4 or what the Switch is shaping up to be either. So...sales purgatory?
This.^ People wonder why I'm harsh on Nintendo. I think the Switch is great. But, I know it could be amazing and that's what frustrates me. One way in which it could be so much better is access to VC. Imagine a device that basically merged the console and handheld VCs and even added more retro/past gen games. It would be the best legacy system Nintendo's ever had. Imagine being able to play virtually all Legend of Zelda games on one system. That would have been amazing. ...
You must be new to Japanese games if you're not familiar with the cringe hairstyles of emo protagonists. Just have a good laugh at their absurdity and move past it...or get to the point I'm at where you don't even notice it anymore and need someone to point it out to you.
