It's a CTRL + C/CTRL + V faceplate, hardly feels like it's designed by anyone other than the marketing team.
Agreed. The original was a true gem.
Goldeneye just wouldn't be the same without the massive slowdown, blocky visuals, and single analog control though! =(
And I'm not being sarcastic, that's part of the truly amazing GE experience. Greatest console FPS ever, and one i lost most of my highschool freetime to.
Who cares? Both systems are a success, both will be supported til the end of their cycle.
Oh you mean the ripped off "homages" to other things such as -
Space Marines - Aliens
Halos - Ringworlds
Gravemind - Borg/Audrey 2
Crappiest final bosses ever - Gears of War 2
;-)
Nah Halo is totally original. (Great series though)
...Kill.Switch.
Winback.
Rest my case. If you're going to say something is a "ripoff" of something else, at least be accurate.
I weep for your wallet as well sir.
Better than $800 swag bags and free 360's for anyone reviewing Halo, no?
I'm a game dev, so I thankfully can buy what I want. But now, the issue is TIME. Time to play, replay, and enjoy these titles that clutter my shelf. I will never trade back a game, and the collection is growing! (55 PS3, 100 PS2 alone)
Jim Sterling.
Nuff said.
He's all about taking down the "evil PS3 fanboy empire."
I didn't realize there was something to get over? Again, if that's your opinion, cool. But that's not what you said. Even Mass Effect was a new franchise at one time...
Relax.
Play games instead of listen to reviews and judge a title via other's opinions?
BLASPHEMY!
"Its its own genre, completely original so you cant expect all people to like it straight off the bat."
What do people's expectations and like/dislike have to do with the quality of the title? HR is what is is, regardless if someone slaps a 7 or a 10 on it. Same with ME2. No amount of scoring will change the actual game in the box.
If you explained why YOU felt that ME2 is better then HR, then I would say you're entitled to your opinion. But that's not wha...
"Its obviously not as good as mass effect 2, never wouldve been "
Why, because some guy's arbitrary score of his opinion says so?
Butthurt article is butthurt.
I definitely appreciate MS's contributions to online gaming without a doubt, so I'm glad they followed up on the original Xbox. Hopefully for gamers they never release such a crappily built console again though.
100% agreed on AoT Stan.
And it's not "conspiracy crap," it's been proven time and again with incidents like Gertsmann's firing, CoD MW2 private hotel party, trips to Europe for MGS4, and the infamous $800 Halo 3 swag bags.
I agree bea, they ARE a good evaluation tool. The problem is people are turning them into law, and that scares me, as many people are missing out on some GREAT titles. But to your other points -
My problem with the score is that they are quantifying opinion. Someone has yet to tell me the actual difference between a title scoring a 9.3 and a 9.4 for example. I have people trying to tell me that a game is 0.1 better than another? Yet they are in different genres, with different ga...
I've said this before, but I really like Kotaku's system. I may not always agree with their opinions, but I really feel listing the pros/cons and how much of the game was actually played is a great way to do things. It makes people... gasp... read!
Bubbles for ya both.
That's because R2 and KZ are not "innovative enough" like Halo 3 was.
*cough*
