Here here. They are just as biased as any other outlet.
(Again, not a slight against ME2! Great game.
Because there's no "my walkman playing Michael Jackson is better than your walkman playing Michael Jackon" syndrome.
I disagree. Sony's "vision" does not control everything about every first party product. Naughty Dog still crafted the game they want to make. I also disagree with your sentiments about UC compared to Gears. It's rather shallow to claim that UC is derivative of the adventure genre and then trumpet Gears as original. The ruins of Shambala are just as unique as those of the Locust. The hammer of dawn is hardly imaginative or original and has been a staple of scifi for generations. And...
More of these articles?
That's sad.
"Maybe if less PS3 gamers buy games like MW2 and spend their money on other games that deserve it more, there probably wouldn't be these kind of articles."
Dear god, I actually agree with you. But I learned long ago to enjoy the gems as they come and not worry about what they sell. I mean after all... look how much money Transformers 2 made at the box office. People have proven to be stupid.
Oh Cold, I can't stay mad at you. Let's never fight again! =)
Yup. So butthurt. Buh buh the PS3 fanboys! I love the 360 victims on this site, they make for great laughs, especially you. =)
I love playing 360 exclusives without the need for a pesky 360, that would be such a waste of money, especially with the wide range of PC titles and PS3 titles I've purchased these past few months.
Fanboys can do whatever they want, unlike 360 fanboys on N4G, I don't care what other people do with their money.
Cheers.
Cue some fanboy saying "buh buh, PC am microsoft toooo!!!111"
Aw, i struck a nerve with the disagree fairy. Poor guy, all in tears.
"Fire Bryan Intihar who came in and decided to make R2 more like Halo"
This isn't true at all.
No, no sarcasm intended.
Want to talk stupid?
More flamebait BS (Kratos dead cuz o Bayonetta yO!??!?!) is approved than actual articles, such as Kotaku's great "Please Stop Holding My Hand" editorial about the ease/bluntness of modern games.
In fact, I don't think Kotaku's glowing preview of MAG was even put up on this site, where he said he needed MORE time to actually give it a solid and fair review.
Yeah, skipping this. Never thought I'd skip a "main" FF, but with the lackluster reviews and now this backpeddling... no thank you. I have plenty to play.
The site would be even BETTER if we talked more about games and stopped being armchair analysts.
IMHO, of course! =)
+ Bubble
Sadly I don't think it will, at least not during initial reviews, simply because it's FF. But in later "retrospective articles" they will "come clean" and "be honest."
It's funny that these people are the first to also cry when a lack of innovation plagues the industry.
New IPs usually suffer, especially in fringe genres. It IS sad, and but one reason we have no Okami 2 =(
Interest in FFXIII falling fast...
Kotaku has a great first look, and they are holding off on their reviews. Check it out.
"I find this common mostly from PS3 fans who can't stand the idea of another game in the same genre as God of War receiving equal critical reception."
I can't stand the idea of the media pitting all these titles against one another like they are able to beat one another up, or only one can exist, or I'm allowed to only like/buy/play one. It's stupid. I bought Bayonetta. And Darksiders. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2. DMC1 - 4. GoW 1, 2, CoO... And I love them all for differ...
A prime example is nuke boosting. Basically you join a room, and then have your friend join (but not in your party) so that they likely end up on the other team. You find a spot away from all the action (especially in CTF, Domination, etc) and one person tosses down a tactical flare. The person on the opposing team continues to kill them as they spawn in. Easy nuke.
Sad eh?
