Sackbots? I can make enemies and bosses now?
Win.
It looks good. But as many said, I'll wait for the final game, as Epic are king of the bullshot.
Why does it always have to be a contest though? The game is months away and already we have the "it's the best/not the best looking game evar!" hyperbole being bandied about.
I wonder if this will be multiplatform right off the bat now?
I dislike this trend of knowing everything about a game before it even comes out. It's REALLY gotta stop.
This has actually caught my eye.
What it really needs for me to purchase though, is splitscreen support. Really glad they confirmed it on LP2.
Better be optional. I dislike motion controls.
My problem now is it's campfest. We need a balance between 1.04 and 1.05. I enjoyed melees, stealth kills, and people MOVING around the map. Now people sit in a corner. It's like CoD. Bleh.
"The old system was too rewarding to highly skilled players"
Um... if I put in the time to BECOME a skilled player, should I not be rewarded?
I really, really don't get this mentality of "everyone deserves a chance to win." If I'm better than you, then I should be winning more. Period.
What's the difference between a 9.0 and an 8.9?
God scores are silly.
"I love this new health system. The old health system sucked monkey balls. It was Halo for crying out loud!! A whole freaking clip to kill a guy. Like WTF?"
I guess I'm old fashioned. If I have the skill to keep my reticle on you and kill you, then I should win. This whole CoD style insta-kill the moment you see someone is annoying the hell out of me... it has nothing to do with skill and mostly about luck.
LOL.
Mountain out of an ant hill. Hilarious. Either it was a slow news day or yes, the media IS still pumping the hateorade against the PS3. Just admit it already.
Two studios.
"- R&CF3 (Because Ratchet still needs to find his home with the Lombaxes, which would be a true finale to the franchise) "
Ratchet DID find his home. It's with Clank. We know where the Lombaxes went, another dimension. Exact location isn't important. Ratchet made his choice, it was the choice Azimuth didn't agree with ;-)
Agreed. And this spring is packed enough as it is. Late summer would be nice.
Criticizing scores is one thing, but I think it's entirely valid to be critical of reviews, especially when poorly written. Why are critics allowed to critique these works done by developers, but developers are not able to be critical of the critics? Seems rather unfair.
Those who cannot do, whine.
Kotick seems very short sighted in his business angle. Yeah, Activision is profiting in the short term, but what of the long term? WoW, CoD, GH... and GH is faltering. That is where their profits come from. What happens when CoD has run its course? Which it will if they milk it as much as they are intending to. I can't wait to see this guy ousted. I understand its a business, but I feel this method (and casualization, but I digress) are only going to damage the industry.
1) Subscription based CoD incoming.
2) Series run into the ground incoming.
"But it doesn't change the fact that in all likelihood Master Chief will find his balls resting on MW2's chin"
And then CoD7's vietnam heroes will do the same. Round and round it goes. Just enjoy both, silly people =)
"Before long, Sony's customers blew the story open"
No, bloggers blew an issue out of proportion, and were STILL writing doom articles long after the issue was fixed.
People that wanna play MW2 will still play MW2. Or both.
Games CAN co-exist! Try it!
The flaw in that train of thought is that neither Sony nor MS developed this game. Third party devs don't take orders from either of those companies.
I also have to balk at the statement of "linear experiences" on the PS3, considering Alan Wake is a tried and true linear (and awesome) experience.
Please stop speaking "for the devs."
