Last gen MS really had a lock on MP online gaming for the most part, so it is reasonable that they did not see the immediate need to give "free" content with you sub. Even when they finally began to, it was old (be it decent) content. I feel that the big wigs at MS just weren't having it. you're too pessimistic. they are seemingly very focused on games. so far i am more hyped for the MS line up. I mean both have me psyched, but you make it sound way worse than it is. MS has done pretty good so far considering. I think most of this is just due to the fact that ps4 is doing that much better. MS sees that they are losing market share, and i think that's why we are starting to here more about games as far as leaks go. I mean ps4 has its own games to be excited for this year, and so MS deff needs to start hitting us with more info on their 2014 exclusives.

The first gears defined last gen. Why underestimate a team built of industry veterans and backed by large sums of cash? If they just evolve the series in the right way, then we could be in for something special.
You know it will be very pretty. All they need to do is tweak the formula of gears 3. The story needs to center on characters with real emotional weight. The campaign should be a little less linear and we will be good to go.

But also insomniac's last game was pretty sub par for a studio like this, and they likely wanted to get more funding for their next project. MS, who is looking to bolster their exclusive line up, probably offered them the most money, offering them a safe bet.
I could see them hitting 1080 on this game, insomniac is talented. But I would expect 1080/30 frames. Either way this game has me interested. I guess we will see. The next couple of years are gonna real solid for gamers.

I mean it sure is pretty, forza always is. but they deff downgraded, and it shows. it's kind of like, for everything that looks so great, there's something else to remind you how they compromised. but hey, for a launch game, one that was likely time constrained, not bad. I just think MS would know better. I love my x1, so these comments just make things worse. they could make any game they want in 1080p/60 frames, but the question is how did you get there?
