Yes, some are confused. They did originally state that they wanted to focus in on one console due to limited resources, and that MS seemed like the best bet due to cheap servers etc. They also had a great history with them and xbox live is/was arguably the stronger online community in terms of MP shooters. Funny how it's the opposite of most games, where you would normally find yourself asking for MP in the next release. Granted almost all games have MP now, even if it feels tacked on just to say it's there. I will be the first to admit, I never noticed a diff in resolution going from campaign to MP. It did seem a little less crisp, but I figured it was just that the campaign had better textures or more detail. Kinda goes to show you. That's not to say 1080 isn't better, but obviously it isn't the end of the world.

Again, my main point is that gaming had become more and more grounded in realism, at least as storytelling is concerned, and its just a shame that most tend to ignore this very real issue.

It's a shame that most studios will not take the risk of adding gay characters. Things like this are part of what hold gaming back. In this day and age, with gaming being recognized as an art form more than ever, we need to move past this. Taking sexual orientation into question can add so much complexity to the plot and characters. Why should the gaming community pretend that gay people do not exist?

i dont get why people get all hot and bothered that people play cod. it may be getting stale, and it may seem like they are just taking advantage (why wouldnt they), but in the end, no other fps can offer the same type of rush, at least not with the same precise action.

Xbox one is over prob over 4.5 mil units WW by now. That's on pace to hit sales projections. Plus it already only about 1 to 1.5.mil behind Wii u after only 3 months on market.....seriously, even tho ps4 is ahead by a considerable margin, anyone who thinks x1 isn't doing well is crazy. On top of that, there is still plenty of big x1 games to come. I always thought this was maybe the case. Prob would not have had any major hardware changes, but I bet they would have gotten the software off to a better start. Also, I think this is why they were so unprepared to discuss their "vision" at e3. I bet they thought Sony would launch fall 2014, and figured they would break the norm and get a spring launch and try to get a head start that way. Who knows. We have no proof, and even if they ever admitted this, it wouldn't be until we...
They must realize some of these changes/feature could not wait a whole year. Also, I think the newer platform and increased live support make these frequent updates more the norm. I think it is really awesome. I have the update beta preview on my x1 now and the new changes are great.
While not as important, I hope for new customization options such as backgrounds etc. , but that could maybe wait for a larger annual update.
I think when people read the headlines, they think someone is trying to claim that hardcore gaming as we know it is dying. That may be true, but only in a certain sense.
Big AAA titles will not be going away in the near future, but it has become clear that there is only so much room for success in that type of business model. So the big dogs will continue to make their games, and we will buy them.
