Data collected is only for use by the console and sensor itself, Sensor does not need to bee connected at all times, to share any type of info with anyone is up to you and must be confirmed by the user (I think each app/game would have its own agreement for this). Plus the whole prizm government thing, while very scary, really was only aimed at certain select people who for some reason the government thought they should spy on. This set a terrible precedent i agree, but what i'm saying is...

If this article was about ryse...everyone would have a boner..just saying. Notice how many fanboys have come to the rescue? I for one can see the diffs here

@flavor. I agree, the PC has its advantages, but graphics alone are no longer the difference. Huge leaps on graphics are not seen anymore, so why make that the focus. Just like how ps4 and Xbox one fanboys always fight over specs....if the difference between next gen and current gen isn't even that huge, how big of a diff could there be between two consoles using very similar tech? My point is this-now a days you need to look at which platform fits your styles...the graphics should not be...

maybe so, but it is a collaboration, not a partnership. And that doesn't mean the tech itself would not garner some positive views for what it is doing

Whether they didn't want to take a loss, or they didn't want to raise the price...It's the same thing....Sony just has good PR. They tout "choice", and it is a good thing, but at the end of the day they didn't leave out the camera because they wanted you to have a choice. They did it because having the Eye included would not have allowed them to beat MS on price. It was indeed all about price. (Not wanting to take the loss means they would have had to raise the price...

While I mostly agree, no one really cares if you said "wow" or not. No offense, but the magazine was likely acknowledging the tech, not the software that may or may not exist. Even just the TV features and Kinect sports are enough to at least garner some respect for the technology itself

Seems like many are forgetting that despite some of the bad PR and spec war stuff etc., that MS has made quite a cool piece of tech with the overall XBOX One package. Magazines like pop mechanics are prone to acknowledge the technical achievements of things like say, Kinect 2, regardless of how many people wind up liking/disliking the product itself. I don't think MS paid them, but you never know.

failed to mention that half the publicity is negative...the kind of stuff sites use as fanboy lube

I doubt that this is real. I can't say the display shown is fake, but I doubt that it's at a home depot. Also, why would it be set up in lawn and garden? Idk about any of this. I have been wondering if there would be any pre-launch kiosks and where. But i doubt if it will be here.

I think the comment shown was a sort of sarcastic take on the truth. TBH its only because xblive has more going on with voice chat. but any console can suffer from this and parents should be privy to the types of interactions children will have when playing these games

What I found confusing is the fact that the article claims no use of voice command to record...when this feature was all ready confirmed "xbox...Record". The question that was actually asked was in regards to the xbox one working as a dvr for tv content, to which he replied "not at launch". Am I missing something here?

I expect the same type of diff's. Some 360 launch games actually looked like they running on original xbox hardware. Clearly that is not the case for either console this time around

4486d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

To be fair, if the ps4 could handle it. they would do it. Maybe they couldn't optimize for it yet, and they will for the next game. Bottom line, it sounds a little weird to "blame xbox". Like it's some person you know who screwed you over.

4486d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

lol fanboy huh?. listen moe, the reality both systems visually will offer up the same basic types of graphical abilities. I didn't say the ps4 won't be able to go further, just similar. It's not like the ps4 gpu will offer some kind of magic experience you couldn't have elsewhere. I am no fanboy, it just gets me mad people like you think you have some right to make broad, uneducated claims like "day/night" differences. I have always been, and will continue to be a mu...

I agree. All the guy said is that the ps4 is the most pwoerful...duh. He didn't then go on to say that xbox one is a joke and everyone who wants it should die. I mean why can't people talk about the tech with out everyone making it some penis size contest right away. I loved my 360 this gen, but i had ps3 and also enjoyed that. I has no prob admitting that the ps3 was a bit more powerful, but that didn't seem to make the difference. So why should it be different now. Everyone just...

SO i take it this must make you a PS fanoby? Here you are saying all this night/day BS when you have never witnessed either system. Judging by specs alone...it is not night and day. It's like having 2 similar gaming PC's which handle the same types of games, but one can more easily play said games at certain resolutions. That also doesn't mean xbox one games will not handle 1080p. "Night and Day" would be like wiiU compared to the new consoles. Get real man. You sound un...

It's true. I mean you could buy a 4K TV for a better price than you may think, but just like the early 720/1080 sets, many of the cheaper ones sacrifice true image quality simply to say "hey, this is HD, but it". It's funny how many people I talk to talk about all these specs on the new consoles without ever realizing their current "HD" monitor is gonna affect their graphics just as much. Some of the people I see with LCD's and tons of image blur, poor blacks e...

In all fairness, 4K isn't very realistic for games on the next gen consoles, it still wont be possible for any reasonable price on PC's for at least a few more years. I would say at best, when devs start to better understand the architecture, that we may see some less technically demanding games find ways to hit 4k...maybe. But I think it would put a huge stress on the GPU and bandwidth allocation of either console, and therefore I just cannot see why any dev would sacrifice the major...

I read an article not long ago about how the PS4/Xbox One are simply products of the experience each manufacturer has with thier current consoles. Like how Sony new it had to truly focus on the core gamer and nothing else...if it was to regain it's top spot by any considerable lead. MS knows they cannot afford to have a debacle the likes of RRoD the second generation in a row. It would be too debilitating. I doubt heat will be an issue...everyone who has gone hands on says that the system...
