TBH, MS needs this type of thing. some people are not informed about the changes made as many are introduced at smaller shows than e3. asking someone "did you know" is not condescending. I noticed in the major nelson unboxing that in a few spots the kinect cable has those fat sections, looks kinda like this: ----=--------=-------.
I am worried since my tv is mounted but i chose to use an external wall track to get the wires from the unit to the tv. I do not know if the "fat" sections of cable will fit in the track. I used the track because the run is quite short and its on the outside wall of my apartment and i did not wanna run cable through the insulation....
I have heard before that technically, Epic could find a way to take gears multiplat. Same type of situation (epic actually owns the Gears IP, not MS), but in the case of titanfall, the publisher has something to gain from releasing on other platforms and so it may happen. Either way, if I can be playing Titanfall, Gears, Halo by 2015, between those and CoD, I will prob just grow a jesus beard and become morbidly obese and wear the same sweater and become allergic to sun light

It has been known fact since respawn was formed that these guys made damn sure they would own any and all IP they create. Basically they wanted to avoid what Activision did to them and to their beloved franchise (CoD). They said it themselves that they wanted to work on new IP and activision refused. Pessimistic you are. They are not a very storied studio, but they have enlisted many vets from around the industry. Guys who have worked on crysis and CoD are working on the new IP. Also, MS seems to be dumping plenty of money into this so let's just see. I wouldn't make any bets just yet, but there isn't anything wrong with getting excited for what this may be.
When a game is this popular, clearly there will be many casual players jumping in. That doesn't have to take away from the experience for core gamer
Don't forget that with ganes like CoD etc., they have an install base already and the midnight launches are huge, as well as added preorder bonuses. I think a new game like ryse cannot be judged only on preorders. I know as of this writing, I want the game, but I just plan on walking in and grabbing it. No need to pre-order IMO
I also think they will wait to see how well the kinect sku sells at 500, and if they need to then they may sell a second sku with out it. I don't know how soon, but a year seems a bit early. I wouldn't be all too surprised though if they do indeed make a move around fall 2014 with halo/titanfall. Then again, I would think MS would rely on these titles to sell systems next fall rather than drop price...but we'll see
Not a terribly long time to wait. At least I can still use my a50's for audio and the kinect for voice if i choose. I think i'll generally use the included headset for chat until then though
IDK why many people hate the dashboard as is now. It might be a bit confusing at first but overall it's really interactive and quite intuitive. Anyhow, this just seems to be a really nice evolution of the current set up. Serves as proof that MS really is streamlining the experience while adding accessible and relevant social features. I have no doubt that the ps4 will be a great piece of tech in pretty much every way and I applaud sony for their excellent approach thus far to the next gen and to their past and future commitment to gamers. I chose MS first for this gen due to a mix of currently being a predominantly xbox gamer and my interest in their launch window games.
What I would like to point out is the fact that much of the positive ps4 statements come from indie devs, as does much of the negative xbox stuff....

Honestly, the fact that he is discussing news from months ago as if it is some new development is bad enough. Than look at the preorder numbers and you will see that even though the xbox one is out paced by a significant value...it clearly will not "flop". None of the things he discussed point toward a flop. Who is this guy anyway? Does he think that referring to these companies by their trade names will actually make us think he knows what hes talking about (MSFT, SNE).

I find it crazy how people jump on these rumors. I agree that as an xbox one day one pre-orderer that the negativity is insane...problem is most of it is based on speculation and opinion. Ryse is 900p blah blah, downgrade blah blah, then the game gets demoed again and arguably looks better than before. The internet just like to have something to beat up on and attack.
