Not to support the LIVE in any way over the PSN, but have you actually played on LIVE? I bought my copy for the PS3 first and stopped playing on PSN due to the fact that there were so many @ssh0les running their mouths. Sure both networks have their problems, but it has been my experience that is is far worse on the PSN (at least on COD4).

I think a touchscreen would be great for xmb functions, etc.. but for gaming... I think it is a waste of time. You need an actual analog stick on it... I don't see how it would work as well with just a touchscreen dpad. But overall, as mentioned... I think it is long overdue for a psp overhaul. It could be so much more and I don't care what they charge for it.

Aren't most of these on or coming to both platforms????????????? Then, what is your point? Your ramblings should be in the open zone.

I personally don't see the attraction to GTA and thus this fuss everyone makes over it. What exactly is the storyline for this title anyways???? It is only only one title and if Sony cared that much about keeping it on their system...they would have kept it that way by monetary means or whatever. As far as the extra content is concerned that MS has PAID Rockstar for... big deal. Not impressed by what I have seen of what it contains and more than likely... it won't be free. There are not ...

But I doubt it will happen in our lifetimes to get HD audio/video on the fly per se. Would be nice...but until then...enjoy your BR or HDDVD (whichever you support)

The point of having HD copies (BR/HDDVD) is the entire experience. Besides the issue of Bandwidth, I don't like watching movies on my laptop unless I am travelling. Yes, you can stream movies with certain setups, but again, bandwidth comes into play. The HD video bandwidth and also the HD audio bandwitdth are factors. So you are okay with paying a fee everytime you want to access that movie you want to watch on their server??? Join Netflix. I am happy with (and require) my hard copy of ...

As much as I would love to live in an age of Digital Downloading being a reality...I do not. Digital Downloading of movies is an entirely different horse than music, etc... Especially when you bring into the matter of HD versions. The movie studios will never give up DRM in one form or another. This would allow one person to buy the film and just give it to all their friends or even worse..., put in online even if for a short time before getting caught. Piracy is the main hindrance behin...

I have played the demo and it looked nothing like those images. I laughed when that silly article first came out. It is amazing what people will "doctor" to get hits on their website or forum topic. I have not played the demo on my 360 yet; however, the images they were using to exemplify the play on the PS3 looked as if they were early beta stage images. You could see sharper images in Halo 2 and we all know how they were.

It doesn't matter how many shooters are out there. I don't think that is a logical reason for cancelling any game on a console. I wasn't too interested in this game in the first place; however, I don't like not having it as an option to buy except for my 360. I love both consoles for different reasons, but I do prefer my PS3. There are only two viable reasons for them cancelling the PS3 version (if indeed they did) this late in the game especially since the release date is around the corn...

Don't get me wrong... I am a die hard Bluray supportor and have been since day one. These numbers in this article refer to movies...not equipment. I still firmly believe that this HD revolution is a niche market currently and I believe that the early adoptors of Bluray are the ones buying the most discs because they can afford to. These numbers support that theory to a certain extent. Just because Toshiba brought down the prices so the average "joe" could afford a player doesn't...

The article is talking about the differences between the PC version and the console version. There is no console out (not even the PS3) that can handle the speed of a gaming computer. Stop flapping your gums before you hurt yourself with that nonsense. Of course the console version is going to run a "little slower". 20%???? Not that big of a difference, but that is probably why there will not be any "inter-format" gaming (ie. online 360-PC-PS3) with this game. This g...

Even if you aren't a fan of scifi shooters, I don't know many people who have played Gears of War that haven't loved it. I consider myself a big Sony fan over Microsoft; however, now you just sound like a silly fanbot. It pushed the graphics on the 360 well past anything previously on the 360 as well as the first shooter on the PS3 (Resistance). Don't get me wrong...I love my Resistance...but the graphics on Gears were much sharper.

How can you compare Gears to Uncharted? They are not even in the same category. Gears is probably the best EXCLUSIVE shooter on the 360 in my opinion (COD4 don't count...not exclusive). Uncharted is more of an adventure epic that has a subcomponent of a shooter but I don't think is classified as a true shooter. Granted it is turning out to be an awesome game, but not same categories.

I really liked Bioshock, albeit very short as mentioned; however, it was originally already planned as a sequel. It will be a fine addition to the PS3 library if this turns out to be true. I will add this one to my library I am sure. I will leave my judgements on Assassins Creed and Uncharted until I actually play the games (demo pretty good on Uncharted though).

You just said it all. It is frustrating how "slow" things seem to have developed after the launch of the PS3; however, it is not like Sony is sitting on their collective butts. I am impressed nonetheless how their online has progressed for their first year... and it is only going to get better. People just need to be patient. Flawless programming takes time.

What are you... 12???? You forget that Xbox had a LIVE component with it's original console even way before the 360 was released, ...so they had what...a two year lead with some sort of "LIVE" technology. And they didn't get in-game messaging until after the 360 was released if I am not mistaken. This is Sony's first organized attempt at online (yes, they had a rare few games on PS2 that had a vague attempt at online play...but they do not compare and from what I saw... nothing w...

I am also disappointed that the ingame-XMB isn't here already; however, Sony never said it was coming in the 2.0 Firmware. From everything that I have read... the only hoping for it was in forums, etc... I think this update was fine and a long time coming. Could it be tweaked to make it better... of course. I am sure it will be with feedback from the users to Sony just as everything has been done in the past. I am sure that getting the XMB for messages, etc... in-game is nothing short of...

Not that I was looking forward to this game... wasn't a fan of the first installment of it. However, the game was rated 'M' and as such is supposed to only be sold to adults age 18 or older. I personally don't think they should have had to sensor as much as they did to get it released. If you are a parent and you are letting your child play a game that was given to them rated 'M' or 'AO', then you should be slapped. Plain and simple. If you did not purchase the game for them, then find o...

Midway has finally just taken the time to get it right with some help from Sony. Sony has been working hard at helping programmers/developers figure out the correct way to program for the PS3. EA has always put out bad ports... and we all know it is one of two possibilities for this problem. First, just pure laziness. Second, and more likely... EA putting out the better version on the 360 trying to swing buyers to that console. Actually... probably a combination of the two.
