I have been playing the game since midnight release and tried many different ways to go around this rip off. But alas, Konami has screwed us. And just for reference guys, the KONAMI ID is not what is used for gameplay in MGO... it uses the GAME ID for your characters. The KONAMI ID is only used for Konami website purchases, etc... Anyways, back on track... I put in my Game ID from the Konami website when I got home and set up my character. After playing, I decided to go ahead and set up...
This is absolutely horrible for a company to do. I see no mention in the article that Bethesda is related to the two companies mentioned. The thing that is really sad is that the Oblivion shots still look better. How stupid could a developer be not to change things if you are going to copy the basic structure of objects. Anyways, I smell a lawsuit blowing in the wind soon.
No biggie... this is not too out of the ordinary for betas to have gradual/tiered beta inclusion. I would imagine this is to allow gradually increasing stress on the servers (anyone remember the recent Konami debacle???). I knew beforehand that the beta would not be available from the instant I purchased the Qore episode... so it is not a big issue. Naturally figured everyone who knows the game, would know the beta hasn't started yet. I am in... that is all that matters. Guess people got...
You have a point to a certain degree... but this is what happens with every "made-up" controversy. It is apart of media/news. As far as Sessler is concerned... I have mixed feelings as to how he has evolved. I personally think he used to be better and less biased... (not saying he is being that way on this issue...). I believe the restrictions on what reviewers could say before the game was released is there to protect the gamers who love this series. People can twist it how th...
There are no demos in this episode. There are many articles in N4G that tell you what videos are available for this one. The beta for SOCOM is not available for download for it isn't ready at this point, but once it is ready to go live,.. we will be able to download it from this episode. The rest is pretty much special editions of some trailers and behind the scenes of games/movies. The Hulk trailer was excellent and gave a little more detail which direction the directors are taking the f...
I also thought the first issue was pretty well executed. Very slick interface (what else do you expect) with smooth transitions. The advertising is not too intrusive since it only pops in when whatever selection you chose loads (which is surprisingly quick... I might add). And when it does pop in... it is very short. The colors are very vibrant (as HD should be). The content itself was pretty good in my opinion (wasn't anything I had ever seen online or on TV before). Can't wait till th...
And how would you have gotten into the betas otherwise? Buy another game 60.00 dollars that has access.... humm... try and try to jump through the hoops (with no guarantee... i might add) that the game developer puts in place to limit the access of the beta... should I go on and on... You don't have to subscribe to the entire year... only the ones you want. If you can't afford 3.00 dollars then you shouldn't own a PS3. You go ahead and PASS on it... more room for the ones of us who respec...
You forget how many biased, small minded people exist in our gaming communities. Kotaku is notorious for bashing Sony and every little improvement they send our way. I personally bought the subscription for Qore this morning after the weekly update finally went online. Is it worth it just for trailers? Nah... However, being an interactive magazine devoted to Sony and its products is great. Access to betas is worth the price alone. Everyone who has a clue knows that most of the time yo...
Are you serious??? Stop whining... another idiot who thinks everything in the world should be free and handed to them at their beckon call. This appears to be an amazing service that I for one will be subscribing yearly to. The chance to get in beta testing alone is worth the fee even if you just buy episodic content instead of the yearly subscription. My magazine fees are definitely more than this paltry little fee. I don't get people like you who think Sony should give everything to yo...
Ohhhh... another book written by mankind trying to debunk solid sciences. Totally against book burning... but this is one I would throw into the fireplace.... you know.... just to get ready for hell and all.
Logic is such a great thing.... you can in actuality twist it to defend any stance a person may have. Us Hethens would prefer not have a belief you hold so dear slammed down our throat. But with your logic... you are doing it for our own good. How convenient... guess the churches thought the same thing during the crusades...oh...sorry... that was different... they were protecting their own interests... my bad.
We are losing sight of the main topic of this story... gamers should be outraged that this idiot is a keynote speaker at one of the largest gaming events of the year. WTF? We are wasting our breath trying to debate religion especially in a forum that it is not pertinent. Religion is a topic that can not be won. You have a percentage of the population who don't believe in one God "to rule them all" and than you have those who would take another's life because of their religion. C...
As a new Sony fan, I am split on HOME. I am hoping Sony keeps true to their gamers with it and doesn't make it just a social hub. Some of the features I have heard about are great and if Sony expands on it I am sold. What if you could meet all your friends in Home at a place and then everyone is automatically entered into a gaming room of a particular game (ie cod, resistance, warhawk) instead of sending game invites to each individual person. The ability to go and view trailers, etc of ...
Granted, Sony made a mistake by not trying to integrate a "universal" online play system earlier in their consoles lifespan. Get over it and move on. Maybe they saw how they destroyed the Dreamcast and decided (mistakenly) that online wasn't as big as we now know it is. If only they had a PS3 back then to go into the future to see how high gamers hold online play. You also can't compare the PS2's online experience with the PS3 iteration of PSN. The online capable games were few...

You're smoking crack. Get real and stop hatin'. Konami is not the first company to pay all expenses for reviewers to come and try a new game. And this happens in all industries. It is a courtesy... gratuitous as it may be. What about the food industry where restaurant reviewers get their meals comped. No underhanded deals there by the managers of the restaurants, humm. PSM, Famitsu... Come on. You obviously know nothing about this two entities. I am a Sony fan.. but even I admit tha...
Would have to disagree with you. It has been my experience with EGM that their reviews are biased and more favorably towards 360 games... many of which didn't deserve the scores they received. I stopped subscribing to EGM after about four issues due to this. There are always going to be biased reviews in all gaming magazines. The trick is actually reading all the reviews and discerning the biased comments from actual game facts and make your own review. EGM is just trying to get more pre...
Just as EGM wants from the public, this is getting blown out of proportion. Talk about a website and gaming magazine blowing something out of proportion just to get hits. They are not allowed to mention loading times, install sizes, and some alledgedly large cutscenes. Does this really affect the game. Not at all. These are not performance issues with the game itself which is what a review should be about. EGM has always been Pro360 and this does not surprise me at all and proves as muc...
As far as I know, there is no game on the PS3 currently that is able to access your friends list that you have set up on the main console xmb. A universal friends list is able to be accessed from within any game without leaving that game... you can pull up the xmb when you receive a message or you can pull up your friends list while in a game and send them a message invite, etc...
He is unfortunately right and you are incorrect. I have the darn game also and you can only set up one Gamer ID (not Konami ID) per PS3 console. You can register your heart out on the Konami website but you are going to have alot of useless accounts unless you have more than one PS3.
