Actually Omegasyde... you are partially correct... your logic as to the types of crawling and why they are used is correct... however, you can do both types in MGS4... it is up the the player to decide which type is best for a particular situation. I think this was smart on the part of the programmers/developers. If you have played the game... you know how sensitive the environment is around you... different tactics are useful and every environment. The trick is knowing which is better.
While it is fine to tell an opinion... to spread your stupidity all over the net is needless. The only complaint that had any potential merit was in regards to the arsenal. Many players enjoy a wide variety of weapons to chose and play around with. So what if this idiot likes a few to play with.... don't gripe. Play with your few and don't use the rest. I suppose they could have designed the game to also take use of the Dpad; however, I don't have any problem with the ways items/weapons ...

I have been a member for a very, very long time and I have never gotten a game invite. If it wasn't for the Gamestop preorders, I would never have gotten on the MGO beta.
I don't really care if it is a slightly delayed beta start (ie: socom). It is an "easy in" (guaranteed). I signed up for the full Qore membership and don't regret it one bit. But for games like this... will be preordering so I don't have to wait in line and can just go into my store and pick up my copy without worrying if my store will have a copy. This will be a major game and I for one, can't wait.
Luckily I downloaded both the FW 2.40 and the (I think it was 4.00 version) patch for SSHD about 14 minutes after midnight. I have had no problems at all that I have noticed. I didn't know they removed the expansion for Split-Screen co-op though which is one of the trophies. Still have to wait on them to put that one back up. I would have to disagree with your opinion that "In-Game/Cross-Game" voice chat is unnecessary. But I wholeheartedly agree that most of the things mentioned in the article are unnecessary. It is inevitable that Sony will require developers to include Trophy support in future games in order for Sony to "certify" the games for the PS3. As far as the current titles,... I am not surprised that Sony is leaving it up to the developers. It would be nice... but I don't really care too much if the older games aren't patched for the support. It does take resources to create the graphics, etc. And I would rather developers keep their resources right where they are to finish ...
I would have to agree with him Morganfell. While I have never played this series before.. I have high hopes for it. The same was with MGS4... never played prior episodes of the game and I ended up loving it. But back on track... Downloaded mine luckily last night just after midnight (in US) and then went to bed after getting my first trophy (oh yeah... let the trophy w=h=@=r=i=n=g begin). I have not had any troubles thus far. Can't believe this would have happened to a Sony Server. If you don't like story driven games... you definitely won't like this version of MGS4 (not including the MGO part). It is chalked full of very lengthy cutscenes... but you never know... I still dont entirely understand what all the fuss about the Qore subscription is. It is a measly 3.00 dollars (rounding up) for each episode which only comes out once monthly. That is unfortunate for this seems thus far to be an awesome game. You do after all get one free character slot when you register for your Konami and Game ID's. Assinine that they are separate anyways.
seems like Konami is doing the same thing as that silly company that made the other game charging for extra weapons, etc... What was that one...? You have a point though... it is only about money. There was no reason for Konami to do the game this way. No other game on either the 360 or PS3 currently charges you for an extra online character slot. The online portion is supposed to be included in the game.
