Jericho has nothing going for it aside from purty graphics. I played the demo twice and that was more than enough incentive for me to delete it. In a sea of killer FPS games (on all consoles) coming out Jericho shouldn't even be considered.
Why? How can it not support Leaderboards?!! None of this makes sense, unless, as farfetched as it seems, M$ paid Midway to gimp the PS3 version to make XBL seem superior. Nothing suprises me anymore.
Trade in your console to knock a less than two hundred bucks off an Alienware PC that costs a few thousand dollars. Thanks Dell..erm Alienware.
Some no name website's Haze demo preview means nothing to me.
Of course it should be free. XBL is awesome, but there's really no reason to pay for these features. They could offer the system for free, and let sponsors pick up the tab (maybe run a short commercial while waiting for demo download to que up). Perhaps the silver version could be improved in that regard, and let gold members pay the premium for no ads.
To me GT5 seems to be of higher texture quality, while Forza 2 looks to have more detail, and is displaying more objects. None of this matters though, because it's going to be the extras that make the difference between these two. Both games play exceptionally, but only Forza offers damage on vehicles that changes the dynamics of the race, and the innovative auctioning of of custom cars is extremely cool. If GT5 lacks these kinds of features, or fails to bring some new ideas to the table then...
I've been an Ace Combat fan since the fantastic Ace Combat 2, and this is easily the most impressive Ace I've ever played. The graphics and sound (especially the sound) really pull you into it's excellent atmosphere.
PS3 owners shouldn't fret, it'll be arriving on PS3 next year.
Yeah, I'll believe those alright. Don't recall the 360 being such a poor seller for months on end.
Hardware issues are forgotten when a software library is too good not to take part in.
How could you possibly forget the PS2 and it's myriad of problems, most notably the DREs(disc read errors)?! Just about every PS2 owner I know has had problems with their system or had it flat out stop reading discs, and many gamers have had to take the thing apart, clean the lens, adjust the sensitivity dial on the laser, put tape on the bottem of discs to get them to read, turn the system upside ...
Just got my new 360 a few days ago (I was without on since august 1st) so I'm late getting to many of the new demos that have sprung up over the past two months. Have to say that PGR4 is one damn impressive looking game, and at least that's one genre the japanese gamers enjoy that the 360 is strong in.
The PS2 had problems at launch (jaggy games), and was well known as the more difficult system to develop for (compared to the easy Xbox and GC setups), but developers worked through it because it was the number one selling system by a landslide. The PS3 is more like the Saturn. A more expensive system that isn't selling as strong as the competition, and is tougher to develop games on. Now perhaps the PS3 shouldn't be compared to the travesty that was the Saturn, but the bottem line is develop...
I can't see M$ and Sony sharing royalties, but I agree this would be the best thing.
Fight Night for PS3 has superior sweat rendering, and it's only $40 more than the 360 version. See? EA does love the PS3.
The PS2 and PSP are the crutches Sony needs for the PS3, until the system can walk on it's own. Good to see Heavenly Sword selling well, and damn the 360 sales are strong.
Depends on how you define "bang". I just bought a new 360 to replace my dead unit that died in August (I went through Circuit City and not M$), and I can't even begin to comment on how hard it was those few months with only a PS3.
I guess it's technically more bang for your buck considering you're getting a Blu Ray player, 20gb extra HD space, and built in Wi-Fi (w/free online) for an extra $50, but personally this is all meaningless if there's little to play on it. I have...
Number one during Christmas? Did I read that right? They expect to top Mario Galaxy or even older titles like Halo 3 and Bioshock? Nobody ever cared for olympic games and don't think throwing Mario and Sonic in the mix will change that. A collaboration on new platformer would've been far smarter than this drek.
I just sold my PSP, and the day I sent it out, is the day I got my $##!! GoW demo! Anyway, a coworker brought his PSP in and I got the chance to play it. It's insane how high the quality is. The character models easily trump the original GoW PS2 game, and that's pretty frickin' amazing for a handheld system. The roll is used by holding the L&R triggers while moving the nub, and it works very well. Simply incredible, and since my coworker's going to buy it, I'll at least get to play the on...
I wouldn't hold my breath expecting improved graphics. This is nothing more than a quick, easy cash in for Capcom and nothing more.
is whether or not this game does the classic franchise justice. Despite the two Genesis sequels sucking, this franchise still holds a special place in my nostalgic heart. It would be nice if Revenge of Death Adder was an unlockable. I'd get the game just for that.
The Arcade bundle is simply not a good deal if you're looking to get a 360. I can't possibly imagine someone buying a 360 with no plans on ever downloading a single demo.
A consumer would be crazy not to buy the premium bundle and for an extra $70 get a 20gb HD, Component cable, and two retail games.
In my opinion there is value in the premium bundle that negates the need for a'tardcade pack.
