While the others will cause a spike or two, an exclusive rpg developed by renowned developer Tri Ace, and published by Square Enix will make Lost Odyssey look like an Army Men game.
El cheapo hardware gives el cheapo results. One look at games like Boogie, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Gingerbread Man, and Carnival Games shows the box Nintendo has put themselves into.
I'd rather be in the gamer's box with Mass Effect, Condemned, Orange Box, Bioshock, Halo, Resistance, VF5, Soul Calibur 4, etc..
Mass Effect is so huge, but if Oblivion can pull it off then why is this shocking? DVD ftw.
"About" 16,000 units?! The 360 has never managed to push that much hardware in Japan. Maybe when Infinite Undiscovery hits, but I doubt Ace Combat 6 can drive sales like that.
If this is true and the 360 sales are at least close, then kudos to Japan for finally waking up and realizing they've been missing out.
Ace's strong software sales makes you wonder why Sega's not publishing VF5 in Japan?! The added online feature could help drive some sales, even though it's an...
As much as xbots would love for this to be true, you'd have to be a blithering idiot to think that a system that's less than a month old has tons of documented return data that indicates a 40% failure rate. Then again, this site is loaded with gullible dummies.
Between both camps over which system is better. We've heard PS3 is better, 360 is better, and both are even. It's funny when people on this site try and go into detail as to why console"x" beats console "y". As if they're experienced developers who make games for a living. Anyway, my only question is has Dyack even studied the PS3 considering he's locked in with the 360? I kinda doubt he's tinkered with PS3 or even has development kits.
I know he left and created his own studio, but considering his close ties with Sony and the fact that Eat Sleep Games has something like a three game deal w/Sony right now, I was hoping he'd pitch in wih advice or at least give his opinion like he did w/GoW2.
Wishful thinking I guess, but can ya blame me?
God of War is my favorite action game franchise, so I want each edition to be of the highest quality. It scares me a bit to think of the third game in the hands of yet another person to direct. Hopefully Jaffe will help out a bit with the game. Otherwise, can't wait to see it!
It's awfully slippery around here from all the crying going on. Just one look around here with all the whining over it needing to be .5 higher, and supposedly 1080p (even though nobody here knows for sure) shows that maybe some of you need more important things to worry about in life.
CoD4 looks amazing and the arcade mode sounds great, but 5hrs for a single player campaign (the most important part for me) is a bit ridiculous to me. I'll definitely be buying Mass Effect instead, and...
Unless they have a disclaimer in the store mentioning that it was a mistake (which it clearly wasn't), they have to honor it. Even if it was a mistake you can usually get your way if you cause a big enough scene.
I plan on getting two games over the holidays. The one has to be Uncharted, but I'm torn between Mass Effect and CoD4 for the other. After reading this and the Game Informer review I'm leaning towards Mass Effect....today.
...is that the games look so frickin' good that I wouldn't care if they didn't have a successor for another seven years. We hear so much about how todays 360/PS3 games cost millions of dollars, that I shudder to think of what the next gen will be. I don't want publishers to go out of business struggling to make games that at least break even.
I think as long as a console's business is healthy, it shouldn't be killed off. I don't think the Xbox had to be killed off to make way for the...
If you think the NES and SNES lasted no longer than the N64 and GC, then you weren't gaming back then, or were too young to know anything that was going on.
The Famicom (NES)released in July of 1983. The US NES released on October 18, 1985 and wasn't discontinued until 1995.
The Super Famicom (SNES) launched in Japan on November 21, 1990. The US SNES released in August 1991 and production didn't cease until 1999. The last first party game released was Kirby's Dreamland 3 in 19...
..but still not looking as good as VF5. Regardless, I'm looking foward to the game and will buy it.
Since when was four years the traditional life cycle for a console? The Playstations have all far exceeded four years, while the Gamecube and N64..oh wait a second. Nintendo's putting on a spin with this new "attitude" because the DS is doing well in the market. If it were another Gamecube or Virtualboy the attitude would be different.
An Xbot must've posted this because the game received a 5, 7.5, and 8 from the mag. Eye of Judgement scored three 8s.
Perhaps we need a posting that Beautiful Katamari scored a 4.
Why doesn't Sony dit the trailer a tad and make it the commercial for the game? I can't see how anyone would pass this game up after watching it. Uncharted is THE PS3 game to get this holiday season.
White is the new black for slimmer consoles like PS2 and Wii, and 360 looks better in white with it's hourglass appearance.
The PS3 however looks ridiculous in white. No matter how much PS3 tries to suck in it's gut and cover up it's weird bar-b-que grille shape, it just doesn't work. PS3 must be black or at least a very dark shade of blue.
The presentation is top notch. It's very pretty graphically, but I found it hard to get excited about driving in long straght lines. Kudos to EA for trying something new, but let's get back to the series roots next time.
Call it what you want, but there is a connection between LBP and Forge. I'm still working on the solo campaign, but once I'm done I'll start exploring the extra goodies like Forge.
