Maybe I'm just getting old, but I recall having much more fun with Sega Rally and Sega Rally 2 back when I bought them for my Saturn and DC. Not only did they control better, but they pushed the hardware a bit as well (especially on Saturn).
Of course I only played the demo, but this latest take on the franchise felt like my cars were driving on marbles that were spread across ice. I don't want to hear the excuse that it's meant to be an arcade type throwback, because no arcade racer...
This is EA we're talking about, not some company on the verge of bankruptcy *cough* 2K games *cough*. M$ doesn't have a big enough money hat to keep one of the worlds largest publishers from throwing this on all systems and making a boatload of money in sales.
M$ should have bought some of these companies (Bizarre, Bioware) when they could, and now that they're gone M$ is going to be hurting for exclusive games in the future. Mark my words.
@#4- This is the way the indu...
Notice that only publishers desperate for some attention for their crappy games pimp their female characters out?
No offense, but I can't help but wonder if people like the game for what it is, or because of the art direction? I found enjoyment in Kameo, despite the lame characters, and this seems to be Kameo dressed up in Alice in wonderland clothing, with no platforming (or at least no emphasis on it). It's 2007 and I can't stand games that give me a fixed view rather than give me a camera to adjust my sights. This must be a Japan Studios thing as their launch game Genji suffered from the same problem....
"Broken the trust of all gamers"? A payoff for Gamespot to kill te PS3? Do you understand how stupid you sound? You actually think that Gamespot actually has influence on the "console war" and was paid off to drop the score, to be one point lower than the average?
Thankfully people don't pay attention to idiots, and you yourself must've been taking Gamespots' reviews to heart even though Nintendo fans cried foul over Zelda TP getting an 8.8, and Mariokart DD getti...
The 360 version is $29.99. It'll be amusing to see if Capcom has the audacity to release the PS3 version for $60.
I don't look to any one source for my reviews, and of the group I do consider (as a collective group), Famitsu isn't one of them.
The latest issue of EGM had them getting some hands on time with a recent build (probably a couple of months ago), and it wasn't all rosy. The control setup sounds lame and cumbersome compared to the extremely simple and satisfying controls of their Prince of Persia games.
I'm not going to accuse Famitsu of blowing up the games score for perhaps get...
Back in the Atari days, and into the 16-bit era there was no such thing. Everyone was a gamer, and if a big series game got a lower than expected review score there weren't any temper tantrums like there are now. Game mags didn't have to suddenly apologize for having an opinion. You either agreed or you didn't, and that was that.
These days it's as if the reviewers have to watch not to upset certain groups of fanboys. Today's gamers are a pathetic bunch save for the smart ones who em...
So you can play a slightly higher res version of a console game. Oh, and it'll be outdated in a couple years so you'll need to pony up a few hundred bucks more if you want your games to look as good as the screenshots you see.
Just make sure we get our Uncharted demo next week Sony! It's the only PS3 game I have to have this holiday season.
Killzone who?
So while the PS3 version is "busted, buggy, and broken", I guess the 360 version is just "busted and broken". Sounds like neither version is anything to brag about and what's with 1080p being an exclusive feature?! That's the lamest thing I've ever seen!
Ever hear of a game called Splinter Cell? Going by xbot logic the Xbox was the lowest common denominator since it was the lead platform for Splinter Cell games. Further xbot logic would indicate that PS2 wasn't the lead system for Splinter Cell development because it could handle anything the Xbox could.
Obviously this logic is completely wrong, as is the logic of PS3 being the lowest common denominator for game development. But what else would you expect from the brainwashed peabrain...
Maybe the added momentum in Japan will allow the 360 to outsell the Gamecube this month! Just kidding, the Gamecube isn't going to sell that badly.
You know what that means?
PS3 version- 1 disc
360 version- 3 discs
That would imply that guys like Firstknight have a life to begin with.
It's staggering how many brand loyalist lemming are on this site. newsflash: multiconsole ownership > single console ownership
Yeah man!11!1 I downloaded the demo and compared it frame for frame against my PS3 version and I swear Ryu had better hair textures!1!11 The PS3 version is totally pwn3d with it's sucky graphix!11111111!!!!!111!
I don't know if some developers are just stepping up a bit more, or reviewers are gushing a bit much over some of these games.
Anyway, I plan on getting CoD4 and Uncharted for the holidays. After reading the latest EGM Assassin's Creed sounds like it's going to disappoint.
I understand developers being upset about this, but what workaround is there? If I buy a game it's my game, and if I choose to sell it the I have every right to.
I feel kind of bad for the developers losing money to used game sales, but that's just the way it is. Perhaps a new rule should go into effect for stores like Gamestop in that used copies of a new release can't go one sale until at least 3 months after it's release? That way people who can't wait will run out and buy the ne...
If anything it's a smart move on Nintendo's part to gain more plastic wiimote holder (it's no zapper) sales. Pieces of plastic that do nothing probably wouldn't sell very well with some generic shootin' tech demo disc, so by throwing the Zelda name in there and some Twilight Princess monsters you suddenly have something even fence sitters might jump at. Still don't understand why Duck Hunt remix isn't on the disc, but knowing Nintendo fans they could release it for $50 and it'll sell.
