Holy crap, the degree at which people are obsessing over backwards compatability is insane. PS5 is for the NEXT GEN of games. If you are so insistent to play PS4 games, why get a PS5? If you want to play PS4 games, USE YOUR PS4 and use the PS5 for PS5 games.

The question is, will it still offer the option to plug in a external hard drive and copy games to that from the internal? Then if I want to play a game that is on the external, transfer it back to the internal storage?
If it allows this, then the proprietary expansion card, in a way, is NOT necessary. If the sole reason is to increase space (free up space), then a external hard drive fixes this problem.

For true gaming to live on, so must SP games. There is a reason why the top 100, top 50 , top 20 or whatever games of all time are all SP games.
Gaming through streaming over the internet has more input lag and compression, then a local piece of hardware? Wow I didn't see that coming....

Not surprising, as the Xbox One is the worst xbox in history as far as lack of games. In fact, one of the worst consoles ever. NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, PS3, 360, Wii, Wii2, PS4, Xbox One, Switch.
Even the Wii2 and Switch had more games to play on the system, then the Xbox One.
Considering they not only set the benchmark for Action RPGs, but also made one of the best games ever made, hmmm, yes they do deserve the praise.

There is NO POINT to a gaming console, if all the great games on it CAN ALREADY BE PLAYED ON ANOTHER SYSTEM, also when that other system has GREAT EXCLUSIVES, when your console does not.

Gamepass is an outstanding service, but Xbox would be sooo much more attractive if it had great exclusives like the PS4 does. That's the problem with Xbox, where are the games? 99% of the games on Xbox and gamepass, can be played on PS4 anyway, and the 1% that aren't, are not that great.
Gamepass is great, but it is definitely not it's saving grace. It needs EXCLUSIVES. Sadly Microsoft does not have the PROVEN AAA studios Sony does, so it is hard, I get it, but ...
