My XB1 has been collecting dust for years. Where are the games? A games console, without great games to differentiate yourself from the competition = a dusty brick. If this is the same thing we are going to get next gen, then there will be zero reason to buy an Xbox console next gen.
And yet since it’s release, the PS3 outsold the 360, despite being more expensive (Wii doesn’t count, as that system was for the casual gaming market, which is a totally different market).
Given the PlayStation brand power and the great exclusives, that we all know will exist on PS5, a higher price point will not impact the sales that much, especially considering the PS5 will be the only real choice for core gamers. Unless Microsoft actually releases good games for their ne...
I think it’s time that game publishers have the right to sue these journalists, and websites, for such unobjective reviews and because something offended them, or doesn’t fit in with their views.

There is a BIG difference between reviewers and gamers. Reviewers should not be taken seriously.
The fact that many gamers, including myself, have said it is no where near as bad as the reviewers say, is proof how inaccurate these reviewers are.
The game is no Last of Us or God of War, but it’s also not a bad game at all.
So many reviewers obviously stopped playing BEFORE getting to the 3rd region. Before this point, the game is a 6.5 or 7/10, like the reviews have said, but once you get to the 3rd region, it jumps easily to 8 or 8.5/10.
People really need to ignore reviewers, like the author, they are not gamers, they are nobodies. Paid shills who like to rant for the sake of ranting. Ignore them and start listening to gamers with taste.

When they sit down and brainstorm how they want to construct their gameplay and content, when they decide to add busy work, do they not realise by now gamers hate that stuff, or are they just too lazy to add any creativity and variety?

If you want easy/kids games, maybe go play on Switch. Leave these games for the adults.
It all comes down to greed, nothing else. It’s like any other company in another industry. “Oh we made 2 billion in profit this year, which is down from 2.2 billion from last year. Lay off time!”
Yes because 2 billion isn’t a lot of profit right?! Once a company hits a new profit mark, that becomes the benchmark, if it now goes below that new mark, it’s lay-off and budget cutting time.
They make enough money, it just comes down to greed.
GAMERS need to raise their standards and stop buying games they think are good, but are actually trash. These trashy games wouldn’t exist if gamers raised their standards. This may sound harsh, but it’s true.
This is GREAT news. Are gamers finally growing a brain, so they are able to judge for themselves, whether a game is good or not, before purchase, instead of being brainwashed into buying bad games? Let’s hope so!

Acquiring more studios is a great move, but if the games turn out to be garbage like State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, then it means very little. There needs to be QUALITY games. As of right now, Xbox doesn’t have any and there is zero reason to own a Xbox One. Microsoft needs to change this next gen, otherwise just like this gen, they will be in last place again in both games and sales.
How is $40 for what is pretty much DLC, a fantastic price? I was not that excited for New Dawn to begin with, even though I loved FC5 and seeing that it’s $40, with Metro Exodus coming out on the same day? Yeah I think I’ll be skipping this lol

This is all well and good but how about focusing on games? These would be incredibly pointless to get if there aren’t any great games on the system. Just look at the XBOne/XB1X. There’s zero reason to own one. Don’t make the same mistakes again.
Glad it didn’t happen. We wouldn’t have got some of the greatest consoles ever made and greatest games ever made. Sony brought mature games to the console market. As great as the SNES, and to a lesser extent N64, they were mainly catered to children, which I was fine with then, as I was around 12. Nintendo, even still today, caters to children.
Thank god for Sony, for the massive library of diverse, amazing games, that brought gaming to a whole new level.
