You are missing having a good taste in games. That is what you are missing. Get some standards. It’s people like you that the reason shitty games exist.
I HOPE this succeeds. The gaming industry is like the Wild West where publishers can DELIBERATELY release either broken or garbage games with no consequences. There needs to be laws in place to prevent this kind of practice.
Uncharted 4 plays the same as the first game? Oh no it doesn’t. Uncharted 4 is a lot more refined in its gameplay/gun play/controls. If he means, it’s the same sort of premise, where you do the same kind of stuff, then yeah no shit, because it’s a sequel duh.
Because you weren’t doing the same thing in GoW2, that you did in GoW1 right? Speak for yourself Mr Jaffe.
This is up to how lazy or not, developers are.
Look at what CD Projekt RED did with The Witcher 3, which is filled with meaty, meaningful side quests and a handcrafted open world. And these guys are a small team.
If a smaller team like CD PROJEKT can do what they did, there is NO EXCUSE for bigger teams to do any less. They are just lazy and lack any creativity.
Not surprised. COD is like the most popular casual game out there. Sadly the casual gaming audience is larger then the core gaming audience.
The video game industry is like the Wild West. What I mean by that is publishers are allowed to deliberately release garbage and/or broken games. There is no quality control or laws to prevent this.
And another thing, it may sound harsh, but gamers need to grow a brain and stop buying garbage games. Wait a couple of days, research, before buying. We don’t need to impulse buy games on Day 1, not knowing if they are any good.
Are casual gamers finally growing a brain and realising the games they are playing, like Destiny, are actually garbage games? Let’s hope so
Probably cut content from the main game to be sold as DLC, which seems to be the common trend with developers nowadays.
I have no problem with this as long as:
1) The gameplay is not built around or is degraded because of tactics like this.
2) That it is not REQUIRED to purchase a XP Boost, to progress naturally in the game, because the game was hindered purposely, so you have to purchased said boost, for it to become normal. If that makes sense.
I’m 30 hours into Assassins Creed Odyssey and I have had no problems whatsoever with how quickly you level within the g...
This is completely false and proves the people doing the study are inept at what they do.
Use some common sense, if this was all true, you would see everyone that plays these games have this sort of aggression and violence, but they don’t.
The people that do have this type of aggression ALREADY have an issue or mental illness. It just so happens they enjoy video games like everyone else.
Blame the person who has the problem and not the video game...
Why is a person who obviously hates traditional JRPGs reviewing this? It would be the same as me reviewing racing games (which I hate and don’t enjoy).
Pretty stupid
But single player games are dead guys! Remember that’s what EA said :P
This is what happens when a publisher, like Sony for example, allows developers to have creative freedom and quality. Makes all the difference in the world.
Larger map means nothing if there is LESS LAND MASS and MOST of it is WATER.
It’s actually quite simple. Quality and talent. Not to mention they allow their developers to take the time they need for creativity, polish and everything else that makes a great single player game.
Gamers will flock to a single player game that has quality and polish behind it.
“Mechanically repetitive” Yup. I STILL have to grind for the sake of grinding and grind more more more. That is terrible game design if your whole game revolves around that.
All planets still look generic , empty and the same, with the only differences being the colour, atmosphere hazards and different, generic looking objects.
It would be one thing if it was a $10 game, but it is way overpriced based on the repetitive grinding nature and uninspired gener...
Instead of being jealous about a far superior game like TLOU/2, how about the dev actually use that as motivation to make a Tomb Raider game close to the level of TLOU 2 both in gameplay, characters, graphics and story?
Why do we allow a bunch of nobodies with no taste in games review great games? More click bait.
Are these developers straight out of high school, or are they that lazy lol
The Witcher 3 + the expansions and The Last of Us, remain the pinnacle of gaming in the last decade for me. Such amazing experiences.
It’s just a shame this type of quality and passion that are put into games nowadays, is not even close to what these games achieve.
CD Projekt Red is how small? and look at what they achieved.
How can a console with no QUALITY games on its system be in a position to dominate next generation?
