@LogicalReason - Yes I would because buying one better console less often is still cheaper than buying incremental consoles more often. Think of the long game. And also - the PS3 did have a rough launch but it still ended up outselling the x360 globally, so again - the long game proved successful.
FWIW i heard that the ps4 and x1 would have 4k media updates at some point in the future though info on this is scarce. I hope this is true because I also read that there could b...
i completely agree. I would have paid $600+ per console if they had stronger gpu's and some degree of 4k capability - even if that was limited to media playback and apps. I mean i bought a ps3 for $599 back in the day so its not a foreign concept.
I have a Sony 4k TV now and it makes me not want to use a lot of the apps on the consoles because they max out at 1080p whereas the TV apps already have 4k sections. My consoles (ps4, x1) are barely a year old and are alread...
I'd say it could have used tuning and customizing options as well as race configuration options etc. It's missing so much stuff compared to other solid racers. Not to compare it to forza, but the customizing of cars and how it rolls into social multiplayer aspects is part of what makes it so cool, in addition to the great racing etc. The car meetups let you check out other people's cars, race them buy them, view them etc. Super cool.
DC has certainly gotten bette...
Maybe not for console sales as those seem to be just fine, but it would certainly be nice for those of us that already own one.
LMFAO!!
i certainly appreciate the sentiment but at the same time it underscores a shortsightedness and lack of true priorities. "lets give all these needy people ps4's so we even have an install base in the demographic of people that can't afford these luxury items and call it a step toward normalcy... instead of useful things like actual computers or tablets they can use for education, studying and being a part of the connected world etc... I'm sure sony has a lot of those sitting...
DC is pretty dumbed down and simple in terms of physics and gameplay. probably less frustrating as a racer if you don't want to get into the mechanics of racing and just wanna have a go with friends casually. PCars will be a lot more realistic and in depth with lots of tuning and real world laser scanned tracks so its more true to the actual real life sport... and also way more difficult to actually drive. ultimately it depends on how much commitment and effort you want to put into it :...
freakin awesome.
i think its pretty dumb too. i get each side having its own 1st, 3rd party exclusives or whatever but for a multiplatform title to favor one platform over another is just annoying. i don't know anyone who would go out and buy a whole new console just so they could get an extra map, or character outfit or get to play the game a few months early or whatever the case may be... especially when it would be coming to their console eventually anyway.
as an owner of both consoles, i see the advantages and disadvantages of both networks.
my own personal observations are that psn has the better value with its pricing and free games but xbl is more reliable and when outages occur they are dealt with in a fraction of the time. also - my psn account has now been hacked twice but changing payment options with xbl is a freaking nightmare that usually results in a phone call or at the very least online chat support.

its whoever offers the better business deal. there aren't really sides.
That's it. I just got a 65" 4k tv. Now I really want to get a pc rig and run it on the tv. Man. That look is really good.
oh baby thats gonna be sweet if thats the case.
Looks awesome
damn... that matches my new walnut stained media center. badass.
as much as i want it to be, I'm highly skeptical thats a gameplay capture. amazing if it is but one thing i've learned over the last year is to temper graphic fidelity expectations pre-launch... (looking at you watchdogs, the crew, ac unity and so on)
final-freaking-ly! Now just let me download it.
um yeah it does.
and heres this too.

i have friends that worked on both forza and drive club and another friend that builds simulator rigs for a living (cxc simulations). pretty into the racing thing.
the simulation engine can only update the frames as fast as the game refreshes the frames on screen... if i...
Physics are better with a faster FPS. That's why sims try to be at least 60fps. In pcars case the physics analyze 600x per second but can only be refreshed on screen at every frame so 60x a sec is what you end up with. 30 FPS would result in less resolution in the sim output to the player.
So you will pass this game up for a lack of a few cars but stick with driveclub?? Lmfao DC has the least amount of cars out of all of them. And there are plenty of cars gt hasn't had either.
