a gamer is a gamer. thats like saying you don't know if someone could handle driving a toyota because they drive a honda and the toyota requires you to steer, apply gas and pay attention to your surroundings...
the only thing different about pc's and consoles are the physical specs of the machines. games are games and people that play games know how to play games. :)
Let's hope not. I'm really amped for pcars and each delay just punches my heart in the face. Let's hope we get some good wheel support too.
Pcars uses real tracks and real physics with a huge car roster and the cars can be tuned and modified. DC gives you pretend tracks with arcade physics and no tuning. Even if dc looks good, it's still dumbed down compared to sim racers. :)
I'm excited but Ubisoft better deliver. Too many flubs lately.
can do
its an "ok" racer with great graphics. there are a few superior racing titles out there. but its certainly better than NFS :)
@kraenk12:
i work in cg/motion graphics for broadcast, video game cinematics etc etc... its not any harder to make textures and assets for 4k than it is to do them 1080p or whatever... textures are usually built at a really high rez to begin with and then worked down into lower resolutions when building and optimizing. its way cheaper to start high and work down than to work low and build up high. in fact the textures are irrelevant to the rendered output. obviously the hi...
i don't see why not. an h265 codec is lightweight. it doesn't need to do nearly the workload of rendering a video game scene in realtime... just decompressing the video codec which is done at a hardware level and at a decent bandwidth - which that part would hit the cpu/gpu.
my sony 4k smartTV probably has much less processing/video power than my phone yet it streams 4k media from video unlimited, amazon prime and netflix and even usb completely easily and liquid sm...
Remaster still take money and resources. They still need to have all the assets upgraded. Textures need to be recreated, characters need to be remodeled, engines have to be ported etc. Sure it's cheaper and faster than building an entirely new game but you're missing the bigger picture problem. The new systems have been out for 1.5 years now, been in development for years before that and yet we still have a very small amount of games that are actually built for the hardware. Most of i...
I agree. Gen 8 is turning into a better textured gen 7. Buy a new console after 7 years so you can pay more money for games you've already paid money for and already played. Fine for some major classics with nostalgia value but it's getting silly. We need more games built for gen 8 specifically. That way we get new games, better graphics, better physics, better animations and more capability. All of those things lead to a better immersive experience which ends up telling the story b...
thats fantastic, but lets make sure the gameplay and technical reliability are just as much a focus.
i think it looks great but not the best i've seen on ps4. the framerate is a bit wild at times and i dunno if its my new tv/setup but it seems sometimes it stutters or stalls every now and then in a kind of glitchy way - only seems to happen on BB so I assume its the game frame rate issue. it also kinda bugs me when your character lifts his arm, you can see the texture stretch in a really obvious way. not a big deal but noticeable. that said, the animations of the characters are fantas...
I will be there!
Hmm... I have it on ps4 running on a sony 4k tv (upscales 1080p via reality engine) and im gonna respectfully disagree. It looks good on ps4 no doubt but it looks sharper on pc even before you consider the doubled frame rate. Shadows, fur and aliasing also look cleaner on pc. I do agree that the mods will be fantastic. Makes me wish I had a proper gaming pc
Wow. Looks fantastic.
that stopped being the case since at least gt4
ha wow.
didn't we kind of expect this, though? i mean its no secret that bloodborne was to be a very niche game. this kinda goes back to what i've said before - selling more doesn't mean better. hardline is a more accessible, mainstream game, therefore more people will probably buy it, but its clear that bloodborne is a far superior game critically on multiple levels - even if less people play it.
different strokes for different folks i guess :)
thankfully its quiet and doesn't overheat. funny enough the ps3 was super quiet and the 360 was kinda noisy.... now the ps4 is noisier than the xbox one.
