I predict, and I may be wrong, that Nintendo's next system will not be called the Wii 2. Whatever it does, I don't think it will be as similar to the Wii as others might. Will they keep motion controls? Will they focus more on graphics? When will it come out? I have no idea, but we never expected the Wii to be what it was and I doubt if we can predict what Nintendo's next system will offer.
Maybe they're using the success of the Wii to take their time on devel...
Competition is always good for gamers, as long as the three companies keep trying different things we'll see technology progress faster than if there was just one company working on games. As for focusing on what women want, if Microsoft wants to know that they need to hire this guy.
If Versus keeps improving in terms of the quality of the graphics and the scale of the world, and if the utilization of the PS3 is as deep as some have suggested exclusives have become then I would be intrigued as to how they would even be able to port it to the 360.
Personally I'd like Versus to remain exclusive and for everyone saying "more people should be able to play it" I say where were you when SE was releasing all of their 360 exclusives? The reality is ...

Neither Square-Enix or SEGA are perfect, but I prefer SEGA over SE right now. SEGA takes more chances than SE and while I don't think FFXIII was as bad as everyone says it is it was lackluster. SEGA has made new games like Valkyria Chronicles, Resonance of Fate, and took a big risk with Alpha Protocol. SE has ridden the popularity of the Final Fantasy Series and their "first multiplatform title", The Last Remnant, only appeared on the Xbox360 and PC. ...
Why are there so many articles whining about how Enslaved didn't sell well? If you liked the game then that's fine, but not everyone is going to like the same things.
If you have a PS2 or a BC PS3 try Persona 4. It should be pretty cheap now and it improved the repetitive level design and pretty much upgraded everything about Persona 3. While 3 may have its faults, I like it just as much as 4 if not a little more due to its darker tone and the fact that, other than in P3P, you can't control your teammates. That always made me have to think more about who I took for my team than I did in P4.
This was announced as being already in production so the question isn't when they'll get to work on it, but rather when it will come out. The interview announcing it was from a magazine in Japan called Dengeki PlayStation.
As for the ideas presented, the only thing I would disagree with in the article is changing the battle system. There are already too many RPGs that have left turn based for real time and having the traditional turn based battles is refreshing to me...
Check the second sentence of my post. I can see that the graphics are clearer, but they gave as much value to idle animation and words appearing on the screen as they did to entire levels and that's where the comparison loses credibility.
Earthbound didn't do well due in part to its horrible marketing campaign. I remember seeing some of these adverts as a kid and wondering why someone would put down their own game in their own ad.

Lens of Truth seem to be tipping the scale to give the Jaguar version a chance, but how many people even bought an Atari Jaguar anyway? The graphics may be clearer and the load times are better due to the advantage of the cartridge, but seriously?
"The Jaguar version had absent areas, and not to mention absent game play mechanics when compared to the PlayStation version... In addition, the Jaguar version also had a few missing particle effects (like rain), and multiple l...
The Wii offers a middle ground for developers, it's cheaper to develop for than the PS3 and Xbox360 but it also offers the ability to make a more expansive game than the handhelds or mobile phones. The only trouble is that the handhelds with the 3DS and PSP2, and even the mobile phones to an extent, are closing the gap in terms of what they can do.
If more game companies focused more on making good games and less about the location of their audience we'd never run out of quality titles.
Jim's right about games on the Wii, but The Last Story will have to be released in the West before anyone here can actually see what he's talking about.
The Wii had no problem moving units no matter where it was sold.
@Tinasumsum
Please look on your console of choice and tell me where it was made. China doesn't have to develop a console, they produce all of them.
Tales of Graces may not be available in the West, but Rune Factory Frontier is and it is a very good game. If you're looking for a deep game with elements of Harvest Moon and Zelda combined into one you should really check it out.
Educated or not he's supporting chaos as are the people who support Assange, but despite what the media would have you believe, this sort of chaos is on a very small level. Most of what Assange "revealed" was already known or information that was either minor or only posed a threat to the people he claimed to be doing it for, not to mention his cowardly threat to reveal more if he were arrested for rape, a charge completely unrelated to his website, and a threat which turned out...
I'm still hoping that this game comes West. Who said that Japanese developers were finished?
I'd rather watch "How I Met Your Metal Gear".
I'm glad no one was hurt, but it seems like the police may have a possible suspect.
"police haven’t comment on whether or not they believed the 2 robberies could be link."
