New technology causes high prices on consoles and games. You can get an NES pretty cheap now along with plenty of games and the same thing will be true for this generations systems one day. As for the fanboy hate-speech, while it may be immature if there weren't consoles to fight over they'd fight over which game was better.
Why couldn't they have simply released an image of a red herring instead of one of those stupid barcode things linking to it?
Caveat emptor. No one is going to hold your hand and guide you as you spend your money. Capitalism has nothing to do with games devolving, but people buying games that aren't up to snuff has a lot to do with it.
As for the government bailing out failing companies, it shouldn't be done. No one is too big to fail, take for instance Atari, which is more of an attempt to keep on topic than to compare to the level of GM's situation, they fell and Nintendo took their p...

I'm glad the idea only received 8% of the vote, we're being overloaded with zombie games.
It's foolish of them to expect people to buy games that aren't even from the same genre in an attempt to get them to localize their other titles. Someone who likes Enslaved might care less about the Tales games and vice versa. As for the importance of dubs, some games benefit from them and some don't, and some players don't like to read subtitles. It is annoying for a game to have bad voice actors, but usually I don't care whether a game is dubbed or subbed, although I wil...
And to think, this started off as a cell phone game. I'm glad they switched to the PSP otherwise a western release would be unlikely.
I agree, not to get anyone's hopes up, but I doubt if they'd keep the Monado name considering everyone pretty much knows it as Xenoblade now. If they release it as Monado in the west some people might not realize what game it is.
It's targeting "the world market", not just the west. It will probably be an attempt to appeal to all gamers, not just East or West. Toshihiro Nagoshi has a lot of experience working on a lot of games, not just the Yakuza series; I'm not saying it's definitely going to be phenomenal, but it should at least have high production standards.
I was actually considering buying this game since the price has gone down and a few sites have said it's underrated, but after reading this I think I'll pass.
The Nintendo seal didn't mean it would be a good game, it meant that the game was authorized by Nintendo for use on their system. That's why there are NES cartridges from Tengen and other companies that look different from the traditional grey cartridges, they overrode the chip in the system to make their own games without having to pay Nintendo. The seal has nothing to do with the quality of the gameplay or level of enjoyment that the game offers.
You can mark off Persona 5.

The way Capcom's been doing things lately if a new Dino Crisis was planned I'd probably want someone else to make it.
I have bought games from SEGA since they got out of the console business. Just because I never owned a Genesis or Dreamcast doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on Sonic.
GT5's resolution is native 1080p, as for other games, some look better in 1080 regardless of their native resolution, some don't. I play all of my games in 1080 and they look better than screen shots of games I have that have been compared on Lens of Truth, even the ones that "win" the comparison.
Source for GT5 being native 1080p:

The guy with the black hair looks out of place...
I have yet to see an image released from this game that has had graphic nudity, although it has been implied. The reason there is interest in the game has more to do with Atlus, the team working on it, and the original concept it is introducing than the fact that adult situations are addressed.
Blizzard makes money because their biggest seller, World of Warcraft, can be played on a wide range of PC setups, but it isn't a game that is graphically groundbreaking. The best PCs are the explorers of new territories, while the consoles and common PCs are the civilizations of the gaming world.
Hopefully this will see a Western release. The game's focus isn't just about sex, it seems to be leaning more towards a psychological look at relationships.
I like Street Fighter, but Street Fighter IV being accessible to everyone? Maybe offline, maybe I just lost my touch or left a small pond where I could beat anyone in Street Fighter 2 with Chun-Li in the arcades, even the guy who was "a master at Guile", but I still don't have the trophies for winning the online matches required and I've pretty much given up on it now. Sure you can still have fun in Street Fighter IV no matter how good you are, but don't expect on gettin...
