I agree 100%, although I do like how you didn't have to press a button to talk to NPCs that didn't have anything important to say in FFXIII along with the whole game being voiced. Dragon Quest IX is a great example of how JRPGs should be, and it would be great to have a game like that on the home consoles because the linking to other players would be easier and used a lot more than it is in the West. That's the kind of online multiplayer RPGs should have, if they're going to h...
I'm waiting for Xenogears too... and Parasite Eve and Vagrant Story, but with every update it seems more logical just to buy them on Amazon. By the time they're released on the PSN they'll have already shipped and I'll have already beaten them, although it is more expensive than buying them on the PSN.
I don't understand the issue with a night at the INN healing you. Call me old fashioned, but when your at your worst sometimes all you need is a good night's sleep.
I have a PS3 and a Wii, and if The Last Story comes West I will buy it, but I won't be buying Little Big Planet 2. I know it has a lot going for it in terms of creativity and gameplay, but I'm just not interested.
If an article about a hack for the Kinect that involves hacking the 360 as well is approved then I agree, but most of the articles I've seen involving a Kinect "hack" are about people modifying it for use on the PC, which Microsoft has stated they have no problem with. This article, and others on N4G lately, seem to be endorsing the PS3 hack, which shouldn't be condoned no matter how you feel about Sony.
No matter what they target, hackers should not be sup...
I agree, in fact if I want to know someone's opinion on a game so that I can make a more informed purchase I look at the user reviews on Gamespot or other sites, but that's only if it's a game that I'm curious about. Most of the time I know which games I'm going to buy and which ones I won't and reviews have nothing to do with them. GT5 was a day one buy for me and while the score may be a little low for what I thought of it, it really doesn't matter to me because ...
No one ever talked to me the few times I went on Home, although I am a male as is my avatar there. I spent most of the time just playing the mini games and collecting the free stuff.
Interesting concept in adding a storyline to a sports game. If the gameplay is good and the story is interesting, EA Sports could possibly breathe new life into the Fight Night series and start a new trend in furthering the complexity of sports games. It may sound strange right now, but it would be interesting if they could effectively add a storyline to other sports games, like Madden for instance.
If by "the industry" you mean professional review sites then I would argue that they are part of the problem. Gamers often rely on them too much and pass up on games that take more risks because they're rated low. NIER was scored very low on a majority of sites only to be declared an overlooked gem by the same type of sites at the end of the year.
Even though it's not a FPS, that FPS map from 2010 is exactly how I felt about Mass Effect 2. I would have had a lot more fun if all the NPCs would have just shut up and let me play the game... that and I couldn't shoot Miranda.
I don't know if anyone noticed or not, but in the video you can clearly read that it is a white supremacist group calling for the boycott. As for his complaints about the "whitewashing" of recent movies and games, everything he mentioned did not do well at the box office or in sales other than the Prince of Persia movie, which only did moderately well.
Also, I remember many people being upset with the casting of every one of those movies, especially the Dragonba...
That's pretty immature. I could care less about a broken 360, but the target is too close to them and it's probably because one of them is using a pistol. Safety is the most important thing when using firearms and these guys just look foolish, especially considering they took a "trophy picture" with the 360 they shot.
I applaud the thoroughness of your review, but it seems as though you have some experience with the world of Mass Effect rather than this being your first time playing the series. I tried the demo myself and it was the first time I played a Mass Effect game and like you I was put off by the inability to skip the cut scenes and I personally disliked the random 'choices' as I discovered pretty quickly that they were insignificant. Yes, the graphics are great, but I thought it was medioc...
There are already Dr. Who games and they weren't well received, Kung Fu for the NES is a port of an arcade game that was very loosely based off of Enter the Dragon, Jackie Chan has a game on the PS1 although it isn't based off of Drunken Master or any movie in particular, and Way of the Samurai may not be the same story, but it covers the gameplay aspects a 7 Samurai game would have. As for Unforgiven, it's not my favorite Eastwood film and it would probably be terrible as a game ...
Forbes seems to have forgotten this little tune.

Harrison Ford wasn't in the running to even play Han Solo until after he agreed to do George Lucas a favor and read lines for actors auditioning for other roles. He was doing carpentry work for Lucas at the time and did so well with his line reading that he was cast in the role.
Nathan Fillion may be a good actor, he may look like Drake and deliver lines in a style you associate with Drake, but that doesn't mean it's meant to be. Most of t...
As was stated in the article, DC:U is still in beta, so they may change the customization options before the final stages of the game are set. It's not just the female options she mentions either, unless the game is intended to be filled with superheroes all played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Pamela Anderson they really should give the option for different body types.
@ziggurcat
I ran out of bubbles on the other article so I couldn't reply there to tell you that you were right. I played the demo and it is lackluster graphically, but even if it wasn't I still wouldn't be getting the game. At least in Dragon Age the gameplay was good enough to keep me playing, I just couldn't stand Mass Effect's. Also, the whole interrupting gameplay just to give you a choice in dialogue that doesn't even matter really annoyed me, and...
The people want to know: Is Dead or Alive dead or alive?
I already miss boxes that aren't flimsy thanks to the eco-movement. I still buy CDs, DVDs, and as long as they're available in brick and mortar stores I'll buy games in their physical manifestation too.
Why not attack companies that sell bottled water for not only their wasting of resources but also selling something that's free from any river or fountain? I still have my NES games and the black plastic sleeves some of them came with and I have my PS1 and PS2...
