I have the Ar Tonelico collector's edition, although I only bought it out of curiosity and because I wanted a good RPG for the PS3. I didn't really care if it came with all the extra stuff or not, but it did. There are a couple of stores around me that have the Hyperdimension Neptunia collector's editions too, maybe I'll pick one up tomorrow.
This is true, why only yesterday I was rummaging through the drawers and closets of a random house I happened to pass by, looking for money, potions, or other useful items, when to my surprise a man approached me yelling and threatening me. I thought he would understand when I told him I was on a quest to save the world, but I was subsequently arrested, thus putting a new roadblock in my way. Now if I only had a sword to use to pop open the lock of the cell... /s
Microsoft spent $500 million to market Kinect, and while it has done well I doubt if it made back all the money they've spent on advertising. It's one thing to advertise your product, and I really don't think Sony does this as well as Microsoft does, but because they don't spend as much on advertising they don't have to worry about making that money back in sales either.
I seriously doubt that Microsoft is doing as well as a lot of people think with the Xb...
That's because they were made by a French artist. They're nice, but you'd think a website called "Kotaku" would know more about Japanese art styles.
I just registered and got credit for owning Battlefield 1943 and Mass Effect 2. All you need to do is register, which if your PSN or Live account is already registered with EA you just have to login with your existing account on the Gun Club website and you'll be automatically linked.
You really shouldn't care about disagrees, they don't effect anything.

Yeah, five of those games are going to be multiplats, and judging by all of them it's kind of a sad look at the future since it looks a lot like the past.
This article is pretty funny, and I hope I'm not the only one who remembers who Thurman Thomas is. I haven't played a Madden game since they stopped having Madden announcing in the game, but I'd pick it up in a heartbeat if they'd bring him back and make the gameplay more fun/arcade style and less realistic/boring.
I like playing sports games, but I don't want to feel like I'm playing a simulator. I miss being able pass the ball all the way across the...
Cliff Bleszinski is probably one of my least favorite people in the video game industry, but I actually agree with him on this one. It's a two way street though, so reviewers who don't like RPGs probably shouldn't review them either. The only exception I can think of is the Mass Effect series because it has a lot in common with shooters too, but if you've never really liked Final Fantasy games then please don't tell me what you think of FFXIII-2 when it comes out.
The PSP had an excellent selection of RPGs and hopefully the Vita will too. I'm more excited about P4 on the Vita than the three games listed in this article, although I would pick up GT if it comes out. I'm surprised that the first two listed are considered the top system sellers of future systems, I mean people have to start feeling burned out on COD and SF games eventually, right?
I've heard some people say that too, but the reason Anders hitting on Hawke came as a surprise is because he was a character people who played Awakening were already familiar with, as DarkSymbiote mentions below, who showed no signs that he was homosexual. Why didn't he? Because his homosexuality is directly related to whether or not Hawke is a male or a female, which is why BioWare messed up in DA2.
Even though the characters they create are fictional, we expect a ce...
I understand the point of the article, but the outcry over DA2 wasn't because the characters were homosexual, but because they "could be" homosexual. If your Hawke was a female then Anders was straight, he was only gay if you chose a male character, which is lazy character development.
No one was upset about Leliana and Zevran because their sexuality was the same no matter who you chose and you knew that through conversations with them.

How can you pledge to go commando on September 20th after September 20th? Does that mean you have to go commando on September 20th 2012?
I don't think Nintendo has abandoned core gamers, but Nintendo of America has. If they were to release Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower I might change my view. I really think that if NoA releases just The Last Story alone they could sell a lot of systems on top of the success they've already had. FFVII brought a lot of people to the PSOne, with a game like The Last Story NoA could change the way people see the Wii and solidify their claim that Nintendo makes systems ...
Not in that order, but you're exactly right. You didn't cheat by looking at the article did you?
While I'm not very happy with their lack of support for the PS3 this gen I really don't think they deserve all the hate they're getting. XIII-2 looks to be what everyone wanted from XIII, which is why they're releasing it. They tried something new with XIII and a lot of people didn't like it, so XIII-2 looks like a "do-over" in an attempt to make it up to fans who were disappointed. XIV was a big disappointment too, but not only is it free to play because of that...
I like that Vampire Rain took a bad review and made an enticing tag line out of it. I've never played the game before, but if Adam Sessler hated it then it's probably pretty good.
I think I know the perfect man for the job...
The only thing Catherine and Qbert have in common is the use of blocks. Qbert couldn't move the blocks, he couldn't manipulate them in other ways and the goal was to change the color of the blocks rather than scale to the top of them.
As for the lack of original ideas in games, when I saw Space Marine and realized it wasn't a parody I began to worry, but I'm sure we'll see more games like El Shaddai to shake things up in the future.
Since it was the first FF game on the PS2 playing FFX for the first time was almost a magical experience. For the first time, FF characters were voiced, and the PS2 allowed the cutscenes and graphics to look way better than what we'd seen before on the PSOne. FFX was well received at the time, especially compared to FFXIII, but I doubt if an HD remake will be able to invoke the feeling I felt playing it on my PS2 for the first time.
I'll probably still get it though j...
