San Andreas was on a DVD too. The PS2 and Xbox used DVDs.
Let's be honest, video game characters would be pretty bland if they reflected people in real life. I'd rather play as Solid Snake or Bayonetta than Al Gore or Sarah Palin.
Hey, if you were serving life in prison a Second Life could come in handy.
Steven Spielberg is trying to gain back the credibility he lost since the flashlight incident in E.T. and Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, that's why he passed up on the Assassin's Creed movie.
He could probably make a good movie out of it, but Ubisoft is nervous, as they should be considering how video game movies usually turn out. I'd rather see Spielberg make a new, original hit, and an up and comer willing to take risks make the Assassin's Creed film. ...
Soul Caliber:
Despite her choice of wardrobe, Ivy is a female character that I find to be much stronger and more likable than a lot of male characters in games these days. The other Soul Caliber girls also have a lot more depth to them than other female characters.
Just because they dress a certain way or have certain physical attributes doesn't mean they can't be good representations of women. Not to mention the character editor allows you to make th...
Tomonobu Itagaki recently said that the most difficult programming experience he had with a game was Tecmo Bowl for the NES. In the old days, mulitplatform games were specifically made for the NES, SNES, and Genesis and utilized the strengths for each game, even if they were all the same title.
The advancement of game development, brought on by the use of the CD with the original PlayStation, has lead to lazier developers who make one version of a game and make the minimum am...
Not interested. Resident Evil is supposed to be about fear and a sense of hopelessness, rationing ammo because it takes place in a normal town. Is it that what we got in 4 or 5? No, but the moment I saw one of the Umbrella guys using a zombie as a (partly)human shield, I knew that this is a step even further away from what was once Resident Evil.
If I Were In a Sealed Room With a Girl I'd Probably be worried about who sealed us in than be thinking about anything else.
I agree, and I think Tekken adds that element too to a certain extent. I don't know how many times I've dodged another player's opening move by sidestepping at the beginning in Tekken 6.
What's wrong with playing as a geezer?
I think I know what that version of GTAV might look like.
When I play, if I get a vehicle I'll wait for others to hop on if they want, I'll even slow down when I see someone running to see if they want a ride.
It is annoying to spawn right in front of someone on the other team and get killed the second you come back, but I usually take it in stride. I get mad sometimes when I play, but usually it's because of my own mistakes or lag, besides, it's just a game so I try not to take it too seriously.

While I agree that the opinion of one man shouldn't change how things are for the rest of us, do you really think that "we'd all suffer" if there weren't any achievements/trophies in games? There's a lot more to worry about than things like that.
If you can't glide around on one knee in multiplayer like you could on the N64 I think I'll pass on this remake. Not only did you look funny while you scooted down the hallway, but it evened the odds with the guy who picked OddJob, who couldn't kneel.
I guess now we know at least one famous person who has a homebrewed PSP.
Am I the only one who remembers Lament of Innocence, which was released before the original God of War? Or even the first 3D Castlevania on the N64? LoS didn't change Castlevania, it improved the concepts these titles tried.
"There are a lot of welcome improvements that make the game better than many of its predecessors... a teleport feature that can warp you home at no cost, eliminating a lot of needless travel time."
This is a mechanic that has been present since the first Rune Factory game on the DS. Other than that it seems like a fair review. The Rune Factory series is something you'll either enjoy or not, and while I personally enjoy it a lot I can understand why some people m...
I understand the reasoning behind it, but what about the people who buy PS3/360 games when the PS5/1080 come out? You can buy a game from the days of the Atari up to the PS2/Xbox generation and almost 100%, excluding online games like FFXI, will have everything the game offers on the disc/cartridge.
You won't be able to say that about PS3 or 360 games twenty years from now unless they're played on an emulator with manipulations, a.k.a. piracy, or unless someone has ba...
I'm pretty sure that the developers are the ones who set the prices for their games on the PSN, not Sony.
