Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas weren't RPGs either, so I suppose it's expected that Skyrim would follow suit. Not that I don't enjoy playing any of Bethesda's games, or Mass Effect 2 either, but they aren't RPGs.
Here's a tip for anyone who might think otherwise, if you've always hated RPGs until you played Oblivion/Fallout 3/Mass Effect 2 then that should have been you're clue that maybe these games you like aren't really RPGs, no matter...
I didn't see the actual quote from the title in the article itself, so perhaps Matthew Karch is being misquoted, but I disagree that the 360 and PS3 are limiting creativity.
As he states in the article, technologically speaking, the 360 and PS3 are beginning to reach their limits, but despite that fact I think that a truly creative developer doesn't really care about technological limits. On the contrary, sometimes the most creative works of art and entertainment are ...
Here's a game based on The Great Gatsby.

From this commercial I suddenly see the potential for Kinect as a viable training tool... for mimes.
I remember when people used to think Japanese dating sims were weird, now the same people talk about who they chose to romance in Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
Edit: That's not to say I'd buy this game, it's a bit much for me, but to each his own.
The 360 is capable of some high quality visuals, the links you've provided prove that, but what we see in the newest FFvsXIII trailer looks a lot better than those other games.
While some of the better graphics are in the cutscene portion of the trailer and the actual gameplay looks closer to what we've seen on the games you've shown, you have to remember that the game still isn't finished yet. That means that there is the potential for FFvsXIII to be the best...
@Godmars290
You said above, "there's no obvious "you can't put it on the 360" stories coming from devs," so I posted that article. You're right, it has nothing to do with Sony, it was Microsoft's decision to not let the developer put that game on the 360. Thus, I have provided an example that proves that your first statement was false.
Also, although Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath was originally on the Xbox, it is not back...
If you had told me a few years ago that I would prefer Tekken over Street Fighter I would have thought you were crazy. I've always liked Tekken games, but Street Fighter was a classic and always delivered.
Now with the way CAPCOM has been doing things the only way I'd buy a game from them would be if they made a new Darkstalkers, but I'd probably be just as disappointed with it as I have been with their other fighters. Even with the online problems, which aren'...
@Shok
They had the idea way before you might think.
I've been asking the same question for awhile now. She was good as Naomi in the MGS games, but I think the voice acting for Shepard was sub-par no matter what gender you chose. EDI displayed more emotion in her voice than either Shepard ever did.
"***NEWS UPDATE*** Cliffy B says MW3 and BF3 shouldn't be rated above an 8. "
I don't like Cliff Bleszinski, but he didn't actually say that. It was a joke within the article to make it seem like there were even more stories about BF3 and MW3 as you read the article.
I'm sick of people comparing the buying of used games to piracy. So if I buy Super Mario Bros. for the NES instead of buying Wii points and getting it for the Virtual Console I'm undercutting the industry? Give me a break.
The same applies to more recent games, not everyone is rich enough to buy every game they want right when it comes out. Some people wait for sales while others wait until they can buy a used copy, either way people like to save money and that's...
Oddworld says hello.

It seems kind of odd that a lot of the comments supporting a multiplatform release also say they don't care about the game. The thing is, there are still a lot of people who do care about FFvsXIII, myself included, and from what we were shown in the last trailer it looks like it will be a massive game with incredible graphics.
I seriously doubt if the 360 would be able to even match a fraction of what has been shown, and don't forget that the plan is for a seamless tr...
I actually like the fact that FFXIII-2 only has insignificant things listed as DLC. I'd rather have the full game off the bat than wait a few weeks for a new "chapter" to be released that I have to pay for in order to "really" beat the game.
Suing Interplay for something they had already agreed to in the first place is equal to kicking a game company that took risks and made some great, albeit not successful games while they're down.
Suing a small time studio over the word "scrolls" and refusing to settle it with a game of Quake, while granted that was an odd request, makes the suit look more about flexing their muscles than actually protecting their franchise.
This is why I'll ...
My List:
Metal Gear: Solid
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
MegaMan Legends
Resident Evil 4
While it's just my opinion that these games are better played on consoles rather than on PC, and some people might disagree with me, you have to admit it's a lot better than the list they gave.
Frank West looks like Dan Aykroyd in that picture.
I get pretty emotional when I try to play Tekken 6 online, and by emotional I mean angry and frustrated. Who would have thought that the hardest trophies to get in Tekken 6 would be the ones you get just for playing matches online.
Edit: The Yakuza games are good for emotion too, and if you haven't checked them out yet you really should.
While it saddens me to see another classic game turn into yet another FPS I never really heard of X-COM until the remake was announced. It sounded like one of their original plans to make the gameplay similar to Valkyria Chronicles would have made everyone happy, but they decided to scrap that and go with an altered approach.
The new gameplay sounds more like BIA:Hell's Highway, but maybe the new XCOM will actually turn out to be okay, that is if it ever gets released.
