If you run out of ammo or your weapon malfunctions a pistol could save your life. Pilots also carry a pistol with them when in combat in case they get shot down.
This may be a test to see if there's any real interest in seeing VC3 in the West. Anyone who is interested and hasn't already should take advantage of this deal if they're serious about showing SEGA that Valkyria Chronicles is in demand in the West.
Excellent article, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this trend. BioWare claims they'll make good with DA3, but it's going to take a lot to get me back on that boat.
"...according to BioWare's Mike Laidlaw..."
Well, according to BioWare's Mike Laidlaw DA2 was a great game, so I believe what he says about as much as I believe your average politician. Basically this is just an easy way to milk the popularity of the series by making comics, shows, etc. while saying, "screw you fans of DA:O".
I knew all the choices you made in DA:O would mean that there would be a lot of story branches to work aro...
We can only hope, but it is EA who is releasing NFL Blitz, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
There are plenty of games that are rated 9 and above that I don't own and plenty of games that are rated 8 and below that I do and enjoy. While it is dishonest for a company, EA or anyone else, to manipulate review scores, why do people treat them as the be all end all in the first place?
Everyone has different tastes and different expectations from games. Despite their chosen profession and any amount of money they receive, reviewers do not have a better understanding of...
My PS3 prefers to be called "husky".
Most developed countries already take steps to reduce pollution and manufacture products in a cleaner way. China, however, is one of the top polluters in the world, if not number one, and yet people buy things that are made in China everyday without complaining about their methods of production.
If you really are serious about "saving the planet" then you should start sending messages to companies telling them to stop producing things in China unless they know the f...
Paper is made from trees, which are a renewable resource. The printing of manuals also provides jobs, and while those jobs do produce pollution, the trees used to produce the paper use the CO2 from that pollution in photosynthesis, producing O2 as a byproduct.
Based on their appearances I don't know if judges #4 and #6 will be that objective, but you can probably trust judge #2 based on his apparent level of excitement.
Just as I thought, unfortunately the game will be based on Peter Jackson's Hobbit rather than the Rankin/Bass film that the picture is from.
The games based on the LOTR movies were okay, but the art style of the Rankin/Bass films are still much more enjoyable to watch than the overdrawn Jackson films in my opinion. It would have been interesting to see if they could have brought that art style to a video game effectively using the technology we have now.
As much as I dislike CAPCOM this gen I don't think that protesting at their booth at NYCC will actually get any results. If you really want them to listen stop buying things from them.
Judging from the complaints I've read about developers not having enough money to make as good of a game as they intended, and I'm talking about games for the NES, I'd assume the cost of making a game hasn't changed all that much over the years.
You may think that the graphics, the motion capture, and the voice actors would make the costs rise for developers, and they do add to the amount, but good developers stay within a budget and still deliver quality game...
I'm a man, and I watch anime, read manga, and play cartoony Japanese video games.
Come on, did we really need Baby Geniuses 3? Sure, it's going direct to video, but it should have gone direct to garbage can.
As for video games, while I'd rather see more new and original games it's good to have a few consistent titles you know you can count on. I suppose the same can be said about movies, but sequels are usually progressively worse in film while they're hit or miss in video games.
Edit: I looked it up for clarification (I pr...
I'm a big fan of Phoenix Wright, but this just doesn't look right.
Actually, I really don't consider Dark Souls/Demon's Souls to be a "true" RPG either. I know you can't just define whether a game is an RPG or not based on solely what I said, but those are just some things that I've grown accustomed to expecting when I see a game labeled "RPG".
Also, while I understand where you're coming from in your definition of an RPG, I think you can't just focus on customization or assuming a role either in d...
Where's the Sailor Moon costume?
An RPG "traditionally" involves a character, or group of characters, on a quest of some kind. In terms of video games the gameplay is typically done in a turn based combat system usually separate from other aspects of gameplay.
In some instances it is strictly turn based, as in the Final Fantasy series, while other times it can be more tactical, as in Disgaea. A more action style of gameplay can also be used, as in the Tales of games.
In "Weste...
Odd that the two articles complaining about this are written by men, at least I assume the person using all caps and the Hulk moniker is a man. I suppose that would be a bigger sign of the insignificance of what they're talking about than anything else. Besides, doesn't anyone remember the Meredith Brooks song? I doubt if that many people were offended or even cared until someone started complaining about it.
