Wishful thinking.
54 million for Steam
46 million for XBL (Xbox 360)
90 million for PSN (PS3, PSP, PSV)
Of course PSN would be largely inflated across 3 products.
And we've been through this, you do NOT need to constantly upgrade PC hardware to run a game. For this gen, a 7 year old GPU (8800 GT) would be perfectly fine.
For next gen you probably will need to upgrade from that 8800 GT but those same PS3 owners will have t...
GDDR5 RAM enables a larger memory bandwidth cap. Memory bandwidth is the maximum rate that data can be utilized before it starts choking up. If my game settings require up to 180 Gb/s at times and my memory bandwidth is only 160 Gb/s, then I'm SoL and I have to turn down either the resolution, texture resolution, AA, AF or Field of View. If I don't, I get a stutter fest.
DDR3 naturally has a lower mem bandwidth when taking into consideration the same conditions (me...
I'm surprised blockbuster is still around.
I haven't seen one in a while.
No, you don't have to upgrade on a regular basis. An 8800 GT (6~7 year old GPU) is perfectly fine to run every game this gen. 1080p 60fps Ultra isn't a requirement when dealing with PC. It's there if you want it.
Laptops without a discrete GPU aren't meant for gaming.
It looks awesome but... why is it multiplatform? I would've assumed this would be used to push the new Xbox into a better light.
MS is strange.
The port would cost a lot less compared to PS3 --> PC due to the similarities between next-gen consoles and pc. They could possibly put less men (less labor aka less money paid) on the job due to this common architecture.
FF isn't exactly unheard of on the PC platform but as of late, it hasn't really been seen on it aside from FFVII and FFVIII re-releases on steam.
I'd feel pretty stupid if I was the guy who had to make PR statements advocating this obstructive DRM while my competitor lacks it. Not only that, I'd have to be the one telling people how it's worth $100 bucks more while playing up this "super cool" DRM.
Humiliation is pretty much spot on.
And what incentive do I have to get them on XB1?
Worse price point, weaker hardware, DRM.
I'm not seeing the advantage here.
It's already game over. FFXV and KH3 for PS4 along with PS4/PC multiplat and it's $100 bucks cheaper than XB1.
Cool can't wait :)
If the 360 really is running with unified DDR3 then I'm still a tad disappointed. They could greatly alleviate (not eliminate) the gap in performance if they at least had the VRAM as GDDR5.
I've been playing MGS since the first one came out and I was 10 at the time. Granted I wasn't supposed to be playing as I was too young but I loved it and David Hayter's VO was part of my childhood. It's sad to see him go and honestly I'm not sure why they let him go. They went with a whole new actor; didn't even go with Richard Doyle.
While I do plan on getting MGSV like many other fans, people have to understand that a major change like this is go...
Love me some ND. This game is looking like a gem as expected.
Good luck playing any game with ground targeting with a controller. It's a nightmare. MOBA games like LoL would be a pain as well. Controller also has a limited number of buttons unlike a keyboard. The trade off is that the controller is arguably more comfortable to use.
From my personal experience, I haven't really had an issue (I even emulate an xbox controller for Dualshock 3). Laptops with integrated graphics are generally bad too. You would've been bett...
Minds well just give out the GOTY awards early. ND does it again.
Pretty much all PC/Console multiplat support controller. Alot of PC exclusive games support controller too aside from the games that can only be functional with a mouse and keyboard.
Install and play is all you do and you only tweak graphics settings to your liking, not sure where you're getting your "facts" from.
Can't go wrong with steam pricing. Just got Alan Wake full series for $4 and both Batman: GOTY editions are $5 each now.
Sony is on a roll.
Warframe just got announced for PS4 as well.
Awesome. I doubt it'll have PhysX since it'll be a major resource hog for the CPU.
I'm guessing 1080p30fps which is perfectly fine as long as it doesn't dip any lower.
