The way gaikai works is that all processing is done on gaikai's side while you're essentially being streamed video of yourself. Gaikai takes your input (and only input) from the PC or PS4, the server and computer takes it, processes it and then sends it back to you.
What Microsoft is trying to do is propose an idea that games can rely on some graphical and physics calculation solely from the cloud as they say. The issue with this, and this conflicts with their new p...
So what happens if my Xbox isn't connected to the internet. Will my cloud based game suddenly run poorly or not play at all because I'm not connected?
What if my internet isn't good enough to handle the speeds of which these various calculations are coming in. Will my game lag because it's pulling for data it can't seem to obtain?
This is why I don't believe in this "cloud" based computing for console games. It's a sup...
The PS4s earbud looks bad imo but thankfully the port isn't proprietary like the Xbox.
Kinect as a voice communication device is also bad. You have no way of stopping the feedback unless your tv is on mute. At that point, you can't hear anything or anyone else. Either way you'll be buying yourself a headset.
No one wins here.
You know how that whole thing goes when an unattractive, nerdy guy in school tries his damn hardest to get that popular, pretty girl in school to like him?
Pretty much the same scenario here. It's not happening.
I use nvidia atm but you can't deny AMD performance per dollar. If it weren't for them, Intel and Nvidia would run even more rampant with pricing and PC gaming would be expensive. AMD makes it possible to have a relatively powerful gaming PC at a good price.
That and the commercial was pretty funny.
I have kinect due to my household, for some reason, agreeing to purchase it. They bought Dance Central and after the first two weeks, never used the kinect again. So I took it off their hands because Skyrim used it for voice commands.
Conclusion: Shouting "Quicksave!" up to 10 times before it actually saves isn't fun. It's a waste of time and money imo. I'd rather have a headset.
So much ignorance in one post.
1080p/60fps isn't difficult if you lack AA, turn down the LOD, bring down shader quality to a minimum or close to it. Popping up to 1080p doesn't mean you need everything on ultra with 16x MSAA.
1080p and nothing cranked up to ultra, it's not all that difficult.
720p XB1 and 1080p PS4 I'm betting.
What they did is wonderful but in all honesty, it makes it seem like the console is being rushed for a late 2013 release. The fact that the PCs used at E3 didn't even have GPU affiliated with AMD makes me think the console is not yet finished entirely.
Adding fuel to the fire, they make a complete 180 on policies as if it's nothing. The whole thing appears incredibly unorganized to be honest. I hope they have a stable release but at this rate, it's looking les...
Can I borrow your time machine? I'd love to play FFXV too.
Fifa isn't a demanding game in the least. If it wasn't 1080p60fps i'd be disappointed with EA. I'm sure they could output an even higher resolution on PS4 while maintaining 60fps to be honest.
I was one of those people who said "There's no way it'd be $400. They're packing way too much in there."
Needless to say, I'm glad they proved me wrong. That's an unbeatable price.
Then your reply to me contradicts your original comment. The FoxEngine is multiplatform engine aka it's designed to work with a wide range of hardware. Your favorite next-gen console is designed after the most common architecture for PC, x86. If the PS4 version is 60 fps, there's no reason for the PC version not to be the same or higher.
You also discredit modders for no apparent reason. They work on these mods because it's their passion.

PC games can run an unlimited amount of fps. In very rare occasions do developers lock the fps for PC.
Makes sense using a graphics card nearly 3 times more powerful than your next console. It also makes sense using Windows 7 when your XB1 OS's kernel is based off of Windows 8. /s. The kernel in Win 7 and 8 are similar but still, why?
What this says to me and everyone else? It says that MS either is rushing another (possibly) faulty product out of the gate since they don't even have the damn thing ready 6 months before release or they're scared of the competitio...
I got the Alan Wake franchise along with DLC and collectors edition extras for 4 bucks.
Steam wins for me.
I highly doubt that BF4 won't support Windows 8.
Increasing the capacity of RAM literally won't effect anything besides slightly increased wattage consumption.
Stop talking out of your ass.
Versus XIII (or XV) was never supposed to come to a Microsoft platform and look what happened. KH3 made its way over too. If they feel they'd make a reasonable financial gain for the effort, it would definitely make its way over. If not, they'll still make money off of the console version. No biggie.
Last Remnant was a late, late port and a brand new IP. If I recall, it didn't even sell respectably on Xbox.
