Architecture and the utilization of those cores mean a lot more than its core speed.
Eh. I'll reserve judgement until it releases. If it's running games like a gtx 670 or a 7970 then yeah it's definitely high end (and at a better price too).
We have people on the pay-roll saying it's High-End and people not on the pay roll saying its Low-End. Tired of the back and forth with PR so when I get mine, I'll have a first hand experience on how powerful it is.
Why are people bringing consoles into this discussion when this article has nothing to do with consoles?
I use my 42" tv for both my PC and PS3. Virtually all console ports support gamepads too. ex. PC hooked up via hdmi and I can play tomb raider with my Xbox or PS3 controller.
You don't need a monitor.
Valve, you're much too generous.
And this 1 GB of RAM being taken up won't affect PS4s gaming ability in the slightest. It's just reserved for the OS and its features.
ND took gameplay cinematics and dialogue to a whole new level. The dynamic levels such as the train level in U2 are amazing. Character interaction, development and dialogue really stand out in this game. It's obvious many devs took notes after U2 nabbed so many awards.
Complaining that an unreleased game that has yet to prove itself is a bad idea, is a bad idea.
If it turns out bad, we'll just run into the archives, copy and then paste this same article with "Was" instead of "Is". Let's give it a chance before shutting it down.
That controller blows me away. It looks perfect.
I'm primarily PS3/PC here. It's pretty much the perfect set up for me.
Of course Batman would carry this around. It looks cool as hell.
I honestly only rely on myself or friends for games. On meta, it's either the user reviews are plagued by fanboys against the game or review sites seemingly being paid off for high scores. It's hard to trust anything on that site.
This game is looking so good. Day one for me, as always ND.
Upgrading RAM capacity does not grant a higher bandwidth for said RAM. RAM speed (bandwidth) is dictated by its bus, data rate and memory clock speed.
An upgraded GPU grants a immediate boost in performance. Upgrading RAM will only grant a performance boost if the previous value was being capped out during games. 1080p gamimg rarely goes over 2GBs of storage used.
Just give people a choice. Lower level graphical quality for a higher frame rate and vice versa. That way, no one complains and everyone is happy.
You're right.
RAM is storage. They upped the "storage" to future proof the console as I'm sure they plan to drag out next gen just as long as this one. Now as it stands, this "storage" in a quantity over 2GBs is largely unused for 1080p gaming unless you're stacking on AA and filters; and I mean a lot.
In other words, Sony secretly upping the RAM count probably won't be detrimental to development. Secretly upping the GPU t...
The game is doing very well but from what I hear, it's a much different game from GW1. I guess the original fans want to rekindle an old flame. Nothing wrong with that of course.
Pro basement dweller right here. Put the Hot Pockets down and go get some fresh air.
Or... how about let people choose what type of setting they wish to play with? If people want 30fps or 60fps at the expensive of graphical quality, let them choose. Put it in the options menu and boom, everyone is happy.
This just in: Other parts of the world use social networking. The console is made with everyone in mind.
