If the graphics card in the next xbox has GDDR5 and the system memory is DDR3 then there will not performance difference between the two due to RAM. For system memory, the CPU hardly ever hits the bandwidth cap for DDR3 so GDDR5 is pretty much just there. You'll see no gains for the CPU.
Hopefully this means a better porting process across the board so everyone can be happy. Development times might drop to due to a much more familiar architecture for devs.
It looked like an FMV and I'm pretty sure it was. Marketing takes a bigger role in this stuff than one might imagine. The HUD stuck in the corner isn't a foreign tactic in deceptive marketing.

I'm guessing 500 bucks. GDDR5 doesn't come cheap. They're running and 8-core processor and a custom 7850 Radeon which is already around 200 bucks alone. I personally think they should scale the GDDR5 RAM from 8 to 6 or even 4 to cut costs.
Factor in R&D, marketing, shipping, etc. they can't afford to take a massive loss. That said I'm looking forward to the console though.

I'll probably be alternating between this and GW2 when ARR releases. Judging from the recent trailers and gameplay vids, it has come a long way.
For Microsoft to focus on games they need competent studios, which they lack aside from 343 and Turn 10. Sony has this covered already along with third party support, free online and most likely releasing before them. The worst thing you can do is let your competitor gain huge awareness and let them overtake your primary market (in this case the US).
