Pre-ordering a game at Gamestop is pretty much a choice to pay for the "Convenience" of receiving the game on time. As far as supposed "Poor management decisions" go, I'm sure that Nintendo's happy Stockholders would much rather management be conservative in their production and shipment at first rather than end up with an E.T. scenario. It may be inconvenient for us, but if we want a game, we'll be able to get it relatively quickly with some searching or a short wait. Nin...
I figure it will be the same with Link's Crossbow training, only people will buy it for the $20 game and let the chunk of plastic collect dust. Who knows though. The Zapper might end up being fun.
Perhaps such awards will cause writers to be more competitive amongst themselves and help up the quality. In any case, televisions loss is Gaming's gain.
I think that a game like MP3 is too hard for many in the mini-game crowd. That and most of them probably don't know or care anything about Metroid. Zack and Wiki, if played up as the puzzle game it is, should do well. Mario however will probably get at least a few hundred thousand purchases from people that will be playing their first Mario game. Simply because even new gamers recognize Mario. If these gamers put in the work it takes to beat this game, it could bode well for games like MP3 in...
...this can only mean good news for the gaming industry. Should be an incredible holiday season for all of our favorite gaming machines. We Americans are going to be entertained one way or another. :D
Do people want war games filled with hospitals for the wounded and shell shocked; soldiers crying and crapping their pants in the trenches; and other things that happen in war? No. This is a game. If people don't know the difference between the real thing and a game, then they are probably too young, or too irresponsible to be playing it. So trivialization? Nah. If anything, such games glorify war, which is a problem of a wholly different type.
Nintendo will likely hit that entire audience with this one. Just as they try to depict here. I can't wait to see how it sells.
I'm buying this game tomorrow regardless. Why? Because I want to play the game. It looks like some good cheap fun with characters that I like. This sort of article plays into the b.s. idea that Nintendo has no substance, and is only about gimmicks.
Mario, Sonic and the Olympics, is not SSBB, is not Super Mario Galaxy, is not Sonic the Hedgehog.
...then what are they doing getting him something that he'll go nuts about if/when they take it away? It's a free country, but man, should everyone be free to have children? I'd like to think that I'd never have it any other way, but this is ridiculous.
And am angry that I did. It almost seems as if they didn't even try.
It's not actually gameplay, it's a cgi precursor.
These graphics are beautiful. Rayquaza looks silly due to it's design, but everything else looks amazing imo. :)
I don't care if they locked him in his room and fed him nothing but Spam and tap water. If you screw up and get in trouble with your parents you deal with it, and at best, try to negotiate your way out of it. This kid either is bad to the core, or he's lost touch with reality due to obsession with gaming. Bad news for gamer freedom. Jack Thompson has a plethora of material to use from just this month in his censorship hearings.
According to the story, he offered the undercover officer his Stepdad's new truck as payment.
A kid punching his Mom in the face over Halo 3, another kid arrested for drawing violent Halo 3 stuff at school, and now this in the span of less than a week? Why don't these parents KNOW their kids? They ought to know their 17 year old by now... If they did, they'd know he's unstable or potentially unstable and not the type to get an addictive entertainment source for him in the first place. Gaming was obviously this kid's life, and his parents took it from him, and he acted accordingly with...
For your shallow comments that have shown me the way to true gamer-hood. I didn't know that only the choices of the biased hardcore were valid. I crap on my old views and bask in your glory. :P
The single player mode almost seems as if it's mostly just a tutorial for the online play, which in my opinion is fantastic. My only real beef with the game is that they didn't just go ahead and make the Wii-mote into more of a mouse. Allowing us to point at a spot on the map to send units wherever you want, and being able to momentarily step out of third person in order to set up the battlefield are pretty much the only things I'd recommend should they make a third installment. By the way, m...
What do you think of Battalion Wars II so far?
Try telling Nintendo Stockholders about your idea for how they should build their console. You'll get laughed out of the building. Not everyone (Meaning most people) has an HD TV, or the money to buy one. So, "Next Gen" graphics aren't as important to most people since they can't fully experience that anyway with their currently allotted setup.
Nintendo is catering more to the common man, and hardcore Nintendo fans, Microsoft is catering to Hardcore American gamers, ...
You'd think that a story like this would be an opportunity for some common ground and some peace...
