If this game is as fun as we think it will be for 20 bucks, then personally I have no problem with a "Link's crossbow II", as long as they put more work into it to keep some element of freshness to it, and it doesn't disrespect the franchise. We're never going to see a "Legend of Zelda Kart", or "Party at Hyrule Castle 7" not even on the DS. Those games would never work. But this one will probably approach Wii Sports in sales, in spite of the silly plastic Zapper...
Because he openly caters to the hardcore, holier than thou Conservative Christian right. Fox news will give him time any time he asks for it. Now his popularity, and his un-American views of censorship have more influence than they should. The funny thing is, there's just as much graphic violence if not more in the Bible as there is in Manhunt 2. Yet that's "Holy" and "Infallible". Ridiculous.
It's not like Crossbow training is a joke title that degrades the Zelda name. This game is just a simple one that uses the base of Twilight Princess, but it looks like quality. Can't be beaten for 20 bucks imo.
The mark-ups on these appliances is ridiculous. I bet Best buy isn't losing a cent.
But why all of a sudden have Freedom and Liberty become equivalent with the Neo-con slurs "Liberal and permissive"? Freedom is not defined as: Whatever the government says you can do. Freedom means that you are free as long as you don't hurt others. When little kids end up with a game like this, it is their parents/guardians who are harming them, regardless of whether it's intentionally, or unintentionally. Not the game developer, who has created a product for a mature audience, and...
The Wii version is supposed to be pretty immersive with it's "Hands on" motion controls, so if one finds this sort of game to be their thing, I would imagine it could be quite fun.
How do you buy any game for your 10 year old, and not make it a point to know exactly what the content is? I don't mean to offend you Dancryer, but that's just lazy parenting. Don't you think it's better that people take responsibility for what enters their home, and what their kids are playing rather than having the government get involved and deciding what games can or can't be created? Yes this game is gross, and violent to the extreme. But we are supposed to live in a free country. Those ...
...In order to further their points about Ratchet and Clank.
"See? We're not biased, we just have a higher standard."
I'm not saying at all that this game deserves more than an 8.5 (I own it and it's great imo), but I suspect that we'll have to have brain-jack (like on the Matrix) games in order for them to give a high grade now. :D
I wonder how long Gamespot will remain relevant? This is weird.
Indeed...
If people buy a console, they will in general want games for it. I would rather have the problem of figuring out what people want/how to get people to buy software for the hardware they bought from me than having moderate software sales and wishing people would buy more hardware. People aren't dissatisfied with their Wii's. If they were, there'd be a surplus of them being sold used at Game stop, rather than new ones dissappearing from the shelves near instantaneously. It's been about a year, ...
Why get excited about some extremely rose colored glasses view of a perceived gain? This is ridiculous.
"The Wii sold over a million last month worldwide."
"Yeah, but the PS3 sold over 500,000!!!!"
I understand that 2/1 is better than 3/1 if you care about that sort of thing, but this crap is annoying.
Excludes most casual gamers. Part of being a casual gamer is the idea of not being extravagant when it comes to the amount of money you spend gaming. That isn't to say that casual gamers don't spend much on games, only that they aren't interested in spending several thousand dollars for an HD-tv, or 4,5,600 bucks on a system that has 60-70 dollar games, no matter how appealing they may be. Sony may have some games for the casual gamer, but they will not win over the casual crowd as long as it...
I've had this game for a few days now, and it's alot of fun. The thing about it though is if you don't have Wi-Fi, you'll definitely not have as much fun. The computer campaign while very fun seems like little more than a warm up/learning experience for online battling. It's a great little game, with very decent graphics, personality, and gameplay, but not very ambitious. I think the score given it is right on.
A kid like this would play something like Manhunt 2 if he had a Wii, so I don't think that's the best solution. :P
Spore has been annoyingly delayed for several years now. Not as bad as others on that list, but then again, Spore is still relevant, and highly anticipated.
All this really means to me is that I will be much more selective when buying VC games rather than overindulgent. In fact, I probably won't buy anymore at all until a game like the new FF Crystal Chronicles game comes out for Wii Ware next year and I can see first hand the kind of space it requires.
Nintendo is only hurting themselves. But as I try to see things from their perspective I can't help but think that yes, they wish they had included a small hard drive with the Wii,...
I'm sick of people trying to pass that off as if it's something more than it is. You must be regurgitating what you've heard from some salesman. Before 1080p, 1080i was the one referred to by the snobs as "True HD". And now suddenly for arguments sake 1080i is garbage. lol
The truth is, that you can barely tell the difference. If you feel that it's better to spend several hundred more dollars for a picture difference so slight that the average person won't even notice...
I don't think that we should indulge in the idea of it with posted news here on N4G. The place could become tacky and disreputable. Just my opinion anyway. If there is such a group, they haven't managed to do much besides be annoying anyway...
Problem child. Funny stuff.
On a more serious note though, this is ridiculous.
If I were his parents, I'd let him spend a night or two behind bars, and I'd smash his XBOX right in front of him with a sledge-hammer. Kid's crazy because these parents probably let him play video games for 10 hours a day, and he sounds like he can't be older than 10-12. Just end his gaming life for a good while, and see if he can get his act together. Craziness...
No Pokemon? Bah...
In my opinion, that concept is meant to be fully realized in MMO.
