What you are describing is conformity not innovation. Forgive me if I am wrong but for you it seems you suggest Nintendo isn't following the same road as Sony and Microsoft so it must not be the right direction.

Giving up Off-Tv play, the feature that I now find myself getting annoyed isn't on my other consoles, makes no sense to me. I don't understand how someone can want the Wii U enough to ask for one its prime features removed to fit their needs, but not bother just buy a pro controller with the Wii U already. Think the only people really asking for this aren't even using the gamepad.
Lol people are funny. Truly. I can't really sypathize. I had 3 lying around from other stuff that I use and truly haven't noticed a speed difference in using external. What is funny though is the people who this seems to be a problem for are people who wouldn't get a wii U anyways and are just looking for another thing wrong with the wii U (of which there are plenty). The saddest thing is that this really isn't one of them.
Nothing wrong with that. I am gonna wait on PS4 til Infamous comes out, but they all are must haves for me.

Busy or not, having a consistent backlog means you never run out of things to play which is pretty guaranteed with multiple consoles and PC. But I do respect your choice because there is nothing wrong with owning one console as long aren't constantly putting others down to feel better about your purchase.
Game looks really good and I will enjoy it, but personally I would prefer if it were actually a new good crash bandicoot game.
Why are you bringing this up in a discussion about Killzone? Also Nintendo clearly confirmed their IPs will never be 3rd party, which shouldn't be what playstation only fans would want anyway.

Not quite sure why you read Nintendo articles...though I understand you have the right to do so, I'm just saying I particularly try to avoid articles about companies that disgust me. Especially with so much PS4 news floating around.
Or you could do enough research and wait to know what games will be on a console before buying it. Sounds like there are no games you like so you probably shouldn't have bought it, and probably shouldn't assume everyone makes the same mistakes.
I can only speak to the classes of kids I volunteer for. Most of the 2nd graders except for a couple, do not have a 3ds. Out of the 5 that do, I know 2 that have broken them since the beginning of the summer. On top of that I have talked to at least 8 different moms and dads about Christmas gift plans, and they all claimed that they would buy a sturdier DS if they made one. 2DS is for younger kids whose break their DS hinges and have parents concerned about the 3d. They won't get much off of it, but it will make them more money off an segment that they wouldn't have made otherwise.
Given their summer reports I think they would be just fine forfeiting sales for 23 days. Those people will still buy, just after the drop. Not to mention the people unfortunate enough to not hear about this and buy between now and then. Nintendo have made legitimate mistakes so for you to act like this is one that matters is silly.
