Logistically anyone smart enough to figure out how to buy things off of the e-shop should be able to read the details that appear right before you buy this. I also don't think Nintendo is really targeting everyone who played wii sports on the wii, but rather the specific demographic that would have desired the online play addition.
The visuals and music are both pretty amazing. I hope to see more on the gameplay front because this seemed a little slow, but withholding judgement til I hold it in my hands.

I would agree that the gamepad isn't as easy to get as the wiimote, but it is not so bad that it is an issue. I don't like how the author used Zombie U as an example. I mean if anything that is one of the best implementations of the gamepad so far. I mean you see a group of zombies that are too many to fight coming for you, but you have to hack the code for the door to get away. I think it is because though the PS4 will a fantastic console and it will bring a lot of good money to Sony, I think it is natural to be skeptical that the PS4 will be the most successful console in history. while i think it is unlikely to be a full hd console version (which I would love), I don't know if you saw there is wii U teaser for some pokemon game that appeared earlier in august. But who knows you just might get your reason.
The replay value was always there. The only thing that achievements do is spoonfeed the info to you and give you a numerical value to it. I used to love fishing for new cool things to do in a game and don't really need a system to tell me that it would be cool to get 1,000 kills or beat a game on its hardest level. But some people do enjoy it as well so if there is demand then it would make sense to fill it.
You seem to be confused. Gimped versions are only known through comparison to the exact same title with different features. Pretty silly I know but don't beat yourself up. Also it is hilarious that you bring up lack of online as the main complaint when the issue here is lack of local offline co-op. You are two for two buddy.
add it to the list but mine are also still valid. Not to mention that everyone is forgetting that the install base of the Wii U represents less than 2% of the install base of all 3 so the attachment rate is fairly consistent to be honest.
Reasons for this are pretty clear:
1. Game was not properly tested and had several issues out of the gate so don't expect people to buy a broken game.
2. Very few titles were available at retailers so it was harder to find.
3. No offline co-op on a system that in my personal opinion offers the best local multiplayer experience makes little to no sense.

Only expect this to increase for the 3DS since pokemon X and Y are easily the most anticipated since Silver/Gold. Seriously it is crazy how many people I grew up with playing pokemon who haven't played in years are wanting to pick up a 3ds to play it.

No Fanboyism is not the same as no competition. If every person made an educated decision on what console to buy based on their personal preferences, one would still outsell the other. This can exist without spineless online arguments and insulting that result from the insecurity that goes along with being a loyalist. I would argue that adding fanboyism holds gaming back more than it has helped it move forward.
