no sympathy here. it doesn't make any sense why now would be the time you choose to sell it. Thing hasn't even been out a full year yet and the games that actually would make a wii U playable have been announced and are coming. If none of the games coming convince you to keep your wii u then none of the games in the launch window should have convinced you to buy it in the first place...

Pleasantly surprised by this game now. Also while watching this trailer I for some reason had the desire to play as bowser and try to capture peach.
I was initally disappointed about mario 3d world but this trailer showed a bit more creativity which is good. I also have never been interested in Mario+Sonic olympic games before but this one actually looks fun. Fairly good direct overall.
Just curious did this game release much earlier digitally in Japan? I mean I didn't really expect this game to sell a lot, but I would have expected it to sell quite a bit more digitally than in retailers since it is both bundled digitally and sold earlier digitally. But then again who knows.

I agree as I travel for work and I bring my wii U, 3ds, and vita for downtime at hotels. Marketing has been poor by nintendo. I don't why I have seen the commercial for pokemon x and y at least 30 times in the last month, but I have only seen one or two wii u ads on tv since its release. I also agree with the author in the comment section that it would be cool if they released a wii u that is battery powered or a gamepad that could stand alone with out the wii u. I know that would compete...

Yeah lucky they got that in my opinion. I bought that game for wii u and it wasn't even the fact that they left out the local co-op that made me mad. It was the fact that it took them weeks to patch it and it still isn't even working 100% correctly (especially the online multiplayer). There is no excuse for releasing a product so obviously broken because there are probably millions of people who would test these games for free just to get to play them early. I would rather not have that be the case. People don't realize how long Nintendo has been a company even before video games. Nintendo would more than likely as a point of pride move into a different industry before going 3rd party.

Makes sense though for GTAV. It is a strong satire of western culture and there is much gamers can probably relate to in Japan in its content.
I get the Wii U is selling poorly, but for them to stop selling the 3DS also is a pretty dumb move. Especially a couple weeks before x and y are released.

The funny thing is if you hate mario so much it seems like super smash bros brawl would be perfect. I know some heavy sega fans from back in the day who relished in the opportunity to have sonic beat the crap out of mario. As for your console choice, I respect that you only want to own one console. I just hope you aren't trying to be stubborn for no reason (not saying you necessarily are) because it is a pretty lame reason to miss out on games.
