Yeah, I think the scoring is going to be highly dependant upon the reviewers tolerance for the gameplay change, and whether they can bear the storytelling.

The G4TV review was written by a female fan, and apparently the story is pretty sexist and stupid.. which is sad, because, as a prequel, storytelling is supposed to be a major factor in the experience... and Samus is the galaxy's toughest bounty hunter, not the wimp they portray her as in Other M.

The last Paper Mario wasn't as good as the previous ones though -- you can't deny that.

G4TV gave Other M a 2/5, and Destructoid gave it a 6.5/10, btw.

They should have re-evaluated this one, and done a little more work to make it worthwhile.

Glad I cancelled my preorder.

I cherish Metroid Prime Trilogy, and don't want to ruin the experience with bad stories.

Um... alot.

Not that I'm agreeing with the developer statement, but disc access speed has a LOT to do with the performance of a game.

In this case, though, it doesn't seem like the differences should be so dramatic that it would manifest as a problem.

Depends on if the campaign is cinematic or mission-based, I would imagine.

Publishers and retailers are partners, not the same business, nor do they work on the same principals.

The retailers are taking advantage of the publishers, and its reaching a point where the publishers cannot sustain themselves due to it -- and this is the publisher response.

Its a fault in the business relationship between publishers and retailers -- who are the *actual* consumers of video games, where the publisher is concerned. The direct consumers (used...

Games are digital goods -- if you can purchase them used, they are just as good as the new version, except cheaper.

Hence, the draw of used games. If they were like any physical industry, the new purchases would have value thanks to wear-and-tear issues. If they were like movies, they would have significant alternate revenue, by means of exclusive theatrical release before discs and rentals are available, and royalties on rentals (yes the movie industry does get royalties f...

Oh come on, mr. disagree. You know I'm kidding. I weep for the any hardcore gamer who feels MS has let them down with Kinect, and in diverting so much of their internal development muscle to Kinect.

I just find it ironic that these kinds of articles keep popping up. Kinect needs to demonstrate some hardcore gaming experience for us to believe that its possible. It's unique -- we have nothing else to look at and say "see, look what it might be capable of"...

I can't believe people disagreed with this guy's post. If you disagreed with InfectedDK's enjoyment of 3D Dot Game Heroes, you should crawl back to your not-gamer hole, and never visit N4G again -- you are NOT a gamer.

Sounds like any "hardcore" 360 fan who doesn't buy Kinect loses hardcore status, and is instead a gaming outcast!

You're outta the 360 club if you don't buy it! From now on, all my questions for 360 fanboys will start with "Do you Kinect?", and if they deny it, their opinion is meaningless in my eyes.

You should be telling your story to GameStop, and telling them to include online play codes with your used purchases.

If you buy used, you're 100% GameStop's customer, not Sony's.

I think it's a great idea to only support your actual customers, with regards to online play and features. Online used gamers are basically freeloaders -- increasing the price of the service for people who actually were willing to pay the provider for it.

If people want to buy used, either GameStop needs to run their own online service, or they should include vouchers for online play along with their used sale. And yes, they (GameStop) would probably have to buy the vou...

You know, I forget all about Halo: Reach each time, until it pops up in yet another post.

Halo is over. I have no doubt Reach will sell a bunch... but only because it'll be Bungie's last Halo. Will it "rule" the holidays? ...no. It'll rule for a couple weeks after its release, and then the Halo ship will sail.

I smell PSN+ benefits coming.

If they give away freebie slots each month on PSN+... that would rock.

Giving away stuff like this for free on PSN+ would be a huge feature of the service, for MAG players.

Nintendo has nothing to do with making the touchscreen popular, relative to Apple.

Not including a touchscreen, in this day and age, would be foolish. It'd be like not including mouse support in a modern OS. There's a point at which "being different" equates with "being stupid".

I'm curious as to what you think of the single analog stick on the 3DS?

This list has nothing to do with the 360, really. All it's really stating is that the 360's lineup, for the next 3 years, is basically a bunch of multiplats, which we'll see on the PS3 as well.

We knew that already.

5633d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

Some sites, basically, require that you pay or advertise for a score greater than about 8.0.

5633d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Some great multiplats on that list. Most of the list even. I'll be picking them up on PS3 for sure.

If they can afford to chop another $50 off the price so soon after the last drop, and after adding a nunchuk, a WMPlus accessory, and another game to the package... Why then, the big loss in the recent quarter?
