Bobby gets about $3M a year as a cut of your CoD, GH, WoW addictions. That's the salaries of over 30 game devs... about half of a AAA dev team.
Hail your glorious leader, or stop buying his games. It's always been your choice.
I agree with this review. Okay game. Not great, but solid.
This has been a truly great day for Bobby K fans everywhere. Our hero has burned up a couple thousand degrees on N4G today, with his glorious and enlightening comments, I think.
People loved the PS2's library. You can't blame them for wanting to relive it in HD, and with trophies.
They'll pay money to do so. I'm frankly surpised that only Sony seems to be reworking their collections thusfar, but maybe there are "issues" (meaning legal) with 3rd party games that didn't used to be on the 360 wanting to HD-port over there as well.
That Ubisoft rumor of HD Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell, though, is sti...
If you gotta buy used, buy Activision used.
...so VGChartz numbers were all a bunch of BS then. Unless people were buying 1 copy of Sports Champions for each Move controller in the UK.
Figures.
Whew. Kinect will sell 3M more copies in the middle east, it looks.
That'd be a LOT of bandwidth, and even more latency.
Can't increase the speed of radio signals/light, and blasting your wifi with constant uncompressed video traffic (uncompressed), or compressed video traffic (requiring more lag and a processor on the camera) would be bad.
Real bad. The camera would probably have to grow to the size of Kinect, or to the size of a decent 802.3g access point, to do such a thing, and it would require a power source (an...
The disagrees to btk's statement are wrong. btk has it right.
The depth camera, the device responsible for capturing skeletal data, runs at 320x240, and at 30 Hz. The color camera is 640x480, and has the potential to run at 60 Hz... but games using Kinect are limited to the 30 Hz sample rate of the depth camera, for skeletal data.
It's sad that anyone would disagree with facts about a device which they are presumably in support of. Doesn't tak...
Japan likes apples. Just sayin'.
Fujis are in season right now, actually.
Seriously, though, there is some truth the "Japan doesn't like foreign goods" quips. Japanese youth doesn't mind foreign stuff so much, but older generations of Japanese folks -- namely the ones in charge of purchasing for retail chains, in this case -- are not so hip on foreign stuff.
Japan has a long, long history of national pride interfering...
This is a serious concern, and possibly a major impediment to the 3DS really taking root. Although my concern is not so much with Nintendo 1st party titles -- what else did we expect from Nintendo, other than Yet Another Mario and Yet Another Animal Crossing, etc. I guess the author's primary concern is with the fact that its actually the *same* Mario as on the N64, but I think many of Nintendo's new hardware consumers have probably never played that game (kids), and that hardcore N...
The irony of the media owned by The Man makes me laugh.
I wish Earth and Beyond would come back. *sigh* That was a great game. It just needed more content.
Woo. "Call of Duty Hero". Ships with a plastic M-16 guitar? Mix the shooting with some rocking out? You may be onto something here.
ND/Sony created Crash, but they sold the IP to Sierra, and then Sierra became part of Activision, years ago.
Why don't they list the Kinect titles? Plenty of exclusives coming down the pipe for MS...
Dance Central will be huge. I don't know why people dismiss it.
But... all the games you mentioned weren't the ones Greenburg was referring to. He was knocking the Move for games that use the Move as an alternate controller, like MAG, SOCOM 4, Killzone 3, LBP2, Heavy Rain, etc.
Lets compare the review scores of those games to the Kinect-exclusive titles he wants to compare them to, when Kinect comes out, shall we?
PSP emulation has been in the PS3 for a while now: PSP minis.
CoD: Black Ops, look out!
Honestly, the LBP2 version looks alot more fun!
There are two things (two major things) wrong with this analysis:
(A) Most HD games are 720p, not 1080p. You don't need to meet the 1080p THX requirement distance for a 720p game, for visual maximum enjoyment -- you can be further away, you *should* be further away, to a distance where you just barely cannot make out the larger 720p pixels.
(B) HD consoles aren't just a resolution advantage over the Wii -- they have memory and perhaps more importantl...
