Um... this glitch IS in the 360 version, as well as the PS3. The cameras are screwed up in this area of the game, it seems.

It has nothing to do with HDMI, and everything to do with the eDRAM on the 360. Actually its the same reason that the 360 can't do 720p with 2x MSAA. -- not enough space for all the buffers needed.

Remember 3D needs two screen buffers.

They look almost the same, except the lighting on the PS3 looks a bit more realistic, and there is a little less "shiny". I dislike shiny plastic looking games, so that's a good thing.

Some of the commenters are saying that the framerate is worse on the 360 -- we'll see after release, I suppose.

Seems lame to post non-Wii screens on a Wii site. That said, I hope SEGA takes a page from the Batman AA playbook on this one.

I'll import it if necessary. Most LCD TVs support PAL and NTSC both.

Awesome.

PS+ is a better deal for people who haven't been buying stuff from the PSN store for ages... obviously. I would "guess" that, if you purchased absolutely everything on the PS Store, before buying PS+, you'd be really upset that you had wasted your money!

Think about it from this perspective -- why is it that people who gripe about the service are whining about they "already own 75% of the stuff offered"? It's because Sony offers GOOD STUFF on...

The headling conveniently neglects this bit from Capcom's release:

"Monster Hunter Tri only sold at a 'sluggish pace.'"

Looks like LP2 wasn't the only big title to blame, even if it was more significant than the rest.

5599d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah, its decent. Although I honestly think LP1 was better overall. LP2 just kinda... has a slapped together story. If you can call it that. LP1 had an interesting character/adventure, which made it a far better game, IMO.

I watched the video. Sounds like the guy in your video doesn't know how to use the XMB. He also thinks PS1 games suck, which is telling. He actually believes there aren't background DLs in regular PSN, and that you can't change assorted profile settings while playing a game. I guess he's never used the PS Store, and saw the big "Download in Background" button when you get stuff? I dunno. PSN+ only gives you background pushes of PSN+ content if you want it, it d...

The magnetic calibration is done from the XMB.

Not a lot of people bother doing it until they are forced to. You have to hold the sphere in place, while rotating the rest of the controller around it, so it can calibrate properly to the magnetic fields in your play environment, and your part of the world.

Anyone who doesn't do this step (which is described pretty well in the manual) is asking for trouble.

I don't understand why they can't release a DLC pack for former Forza 3 owners. I mean... I guess they could, right? But have chosen not to? Why? I wish they would explain.

Perhaps the new vehicles are not compatible with old editions of the game, much like adding Move support to RE5, rather than RE5 Gold? Maybe the memory layout is radically different for the updated game, in general, such that Kinect support can be factored in? Maybe the changes required for o...

Strange that people hold up Gears 2 as the peak of graphics on the 360. I personally thought Alan Wake looked better, despite its low resolution.

A side discussion, yes, but the truth is that the graphical "peak" of the 360 is not really as close to the PS3 "peak" games, as many people seem to believe.

Surely today, we have all come to realize that, yes, the Cell SPUs can help the RSX to the point where (A) the RSX doesn't hardly have...

Wow. This article is so uninformed, I have to assume it was written by a 10 year old, because his dad was behind on his deadlines. I'm not joking at all - its that clueless.

Depends on the technique, and the CPU used, really. If they're rendering the scene 2x, its mostly a GPU expense, and not CPU at all. If they're post-processing the image with a 3D depth shifting algorithm, that probably takes an entire core a good few milliseconds to do.

The PS3 could do either, although you would think devoting a SPU to post-processing the image would be faster than rendering the scene a second time on the GPU, when the GPU could be working on the ...

Let me clarify, if you don't have a DVD *video* decoder on your machine, you don't need to pay the DVD drive royalties for having one.

The DVD data format can be the same... which, yes, is the cause of the Wii piracy. As I stated, Nintendo doesn't like that. Don't think they will replicate the same error with their next console.

Sequels are great... it's not coupling them with new IPs that sucks.

Sony, and even MS, have been clobbering Nintendo in the new IP department for years now.

Pikmin is the only serious new IP I can even recall Nintendo coming up with lately (meaning like... 8-9 years?), and its pretty far from being a big one. I suppose the Wario games are sort of "new concept" as well, though, despite them really just being a different character in the same ki...

Great article. Sums up my feelings pretty well.

Look at the 3DS launch lineup. A bunch of dang ports and remakes. Come on! I'll be feeling pretty ill if people lap that garbage up. Nintendo is abusing their fanbase and their loyalty with rehashed ports and remakes, and overpriced hardware and accessories.

Stop thanking them for it, I agree.

I wish these guys still made Hunter: The Reckoning games. Those were hella fun. Conduit... not so much. H:TR might be amazing with motion controls!
