In hindsight, expecting what is somehow the number one brand in the world (I literally just found out it's bigger than Disney) to not do fantastic in sales was at best misguided. One would be better off expecting the Disney live action remakes to do poorly. It's just not going to happen.
The more I hear about these new Pokemon games, the more alright they sound. It sounds like the kind of alright I've changed my mind about and may check out in the future. ...
I don’t know if I’d purchase one, but where can I get a mask like that? It’s never to early to think about Halloween 2020.
Is it bad that I have to ask that question even when I get home from work? Well, technically it's a three-way between sleep, YouTube or gaming. Add to that the variability factor of when I should eat. It's probably a small blessing that Skip the Dishes doesn't deliver to my area as I'd probably abuse the heck out of that otherwise.
From an individual standpoint, there's the OCD tendency to want to label and categorize everything, and the instant gratification granted by things like the internet only make that tendency worse.
From a corporate standpoint...companies just want us to buy whatever products they produce, and they will research into things like different categories of people (real or imagined) to gauge viability for a particular type of product.
From a service or store...
They would literally have to change the Stadia into a product that's nothing like the one they attempted to shove down our throats. First and foremost, it would have to have physical and digital download options for games. It would also need exclusives, would need to be comparable to next-gen systems and not current gen ones in terms of power (since next gen is around the corner), and in general the system should revolve around games and not a service.
If they could...
It will outsell it in every other region too if it hasn’t already.
It’s still dumb no matter what you call it. Equestria Girl dolls have panties. Are those not child-friendly? Besides, in talking about Japan, you don’t want to know what CoroCoro comics get away with. A panty shot or two might as well be CERO A.
That would be an interesting job duty, even if it’s in the name of censorship. Someone was literally paid to do a panty check on female characters, lulz.
Of course Magikarp makes the cut while many more awesome Pokémon didn’t (stupid GF and your stupid cuts). I guess it’s entirely due to it being part of the Gyarados line. Luvdisc had better not be in the game though.
Darn, I was hoping for it to be like Acid.
Yeah...the Glinthawks aren’t great either, especially in packs, at least until you can accurately hit their weak points. But they have nothing on the Stormbird.
Skarmory was cut from the Galar Dex too? Seriously?
Well, in any case I’m thankful we live in a world with basic birds to cook, although live turkeys have a lot of personality if you’ve ever met one. I’m thankful I haven’t seen one in over a decade though so I can eat turkey just fine, although my Thanksgiving was last month.
The power gap hasn't dissuaded people from buying the Switch thus far so I doubt it.
Yeah, as disappointing as the current games are, they are mainline games and the Let's Go games are not. Even with all the cuts they're still more worth playing. Heck, Let's Go made the even more egregious sin of taking up the remake of Yellow.
The 3DS games had more content too. Yeah, this isn't what I was expecting from a console Pokemon game.
If you have to ask that question you’re just the kind of sheep Google thinks we all are.
Hmmm...I stand corrected. I didn’t closely follow the metascore of the more recent titles, and just made an assumption based on a couple reviews I read at the time. The mainline games on the 3DS sat at a metascore of 87/88 with Ultra Sun and Moon sitting at 83/84, although they weren’t wholly new games.
A metascore drop of 6/7 points from X/Y and Sun/Moon is a not insignificant drop though. Falling below update/sequel games isn’t exactly the greatest mark to shoot for....
There are trolls on both sides. Some who bought and are enjoying the games treat those who aren't thrilled by them as though they're not important and aren't justified in their opinion, and make it quite clear that they're no longer wanted in the fandom.
Is...81 really healthy for a Pokemon game? Don't games in the series usually sit in the low to mid 90s range? Last I checked the current games finally received their first 10/10 review score on Meta...
Was this thing ever supposed to work period?
To be fair, it is a cancer I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. People wonder why I mostly stay off of it, and I tell them it's because I like peace and quiet.
