Waiting to officially announce a game doesn't necessarily mean it isn't real, just that the time isn't quite right to announce it for any number of reasons.

I'm all for saving the environment, but no matter what goes into manufacturing games and systems, I think gaming is easily one of the most environmentally friendly pastimes. For one thing, the vast majority of gamers who don't want their old systems and games usually sell or trade them in somewhere or give them to someone they know, and they're kept in circulation, which IMHO is the best form of recycling. By comparison, owners of other devices apparently need to be informed thr...

Agreed. I also don't place games on my personal list of disappointments unless I've actually played them and can say firsthand that they're not quite what I expected. I can say that some games sound disappointing and I either won't be buying them or will only buy them when I can get them for a lot less (and those who have a problem with that should try going outside), but my disappointment list every year is relatively small, if I even have one at all, as I usually see poten...

I haven't played that game, but disappointment doesn't necessarily mean a game is bad. It's just a subjective feeling one experiences when a game doesn't meet their expectations in one way or another. A game can be good and disappointing, especially if someone doesn't like some of the changes made from previous games in a series or just feels as though the latest entry isn't as polished.

@The disagrees. Seriously? I didn’t know sex-changing by buzzsaw in a way that would likely be fatal, and so unpleasant you would wish yourself dead if it wasn’t, was a thing people were actually into. This PC age is taking a very disturbing turn.

Yeah, no one should presume to tell me what I do or do not need. I can see why Sony wouldn’t be so keen on making another handheld though. At least we’ll continue to have our Vitas.

While it is an antiquated trope I know why game companies still use it. The player is supposed to both insert his or herself into the role of the protagonist, and imagine the protagonist is responding when other characters speak to him/her. I’m...more or less indifferent towards this trope. It doesn’t make sense from a realism standpoint but it has yet to truly kill my immersion in a game. I’m indifferent both to its continued existence and the notion of it dying off.

Indeed, and in a remake he will be even more so.

Nooooo! I don’t want to become a woman! Especially not in a way that involves a buzzsaw!

Understandable, but I’ll miss Sony handhelds.

You want STARS? I'll give you stars.

Sweet! Nemesis was my favourite of the old games. The eponymous Super-Tyrant was already terrifying, but now he will be downright nightmare-inducing. I hope we will also get some post-story hints about what Jill has been up to since RE5 besides undergoing lab tests.

It’s just someone’s opinion, so it’s nothing to get offended by, although the title does imply that the author wants us to get offended for some reason.

Lulz, I seem to be at odds with most of these. Chespin, Mudkip and Totodile were my choices in their respective gens. At least Litten made it high on this list, and that fire bunny will be my choice if I ever do get Sword or Shield. Also...I'm cool with Bulbasaur being #2 (though I think the Charmander line is a tad overrated even though I love them too).

PlayStation deserves it. Sony has consistently released great consoles with a wide selection of games spanning from top-rated to criminally underrated. Their philosophy has always been about providing great games, and they and their studios seem to, for the most part, be more open to feedback than their competitors. There are notable blights like their recent censorship policies, but no company is perfect and PlayStation has still overall been more consistent with how I think a console man...

@maximumspidey More like my life is my business. I'll join various online communities to talk about my hobbies (where I'll be known as Tross, AlbaTross or variations on either), but Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. are things I don't need in my life. I do have a Facebook account that I usually only use to let friends know if I'm coming to a soiree they invited me to. Otherwise, if people want to talk to me, they can do so through text or by phone, or by actually getting tog...

As much as I can't justify purchasing Pokemon Sword or Shield for $80CAD, there is a part of me that wishes I could fall in love with that fire bunny...

Honestly, the fact that different mediums have different rating systems, which are overseen by different organizations, is the reason why ratings for content can be and often are inconsistent, and that is true no matter where in the world you are. It also seems to be the case that videogame rating boards tend to be more sensitive about certain content than other with mediums, although there seems to be a lot more sensitivity as of late across the board in regard to which content is appropria...

Whoohoo! Congrats Sony, here's to 25 more years.

They don’t hold their value. Nintendo just doesn’t cut the price of their games like every other company does. I’ll likely have to wait for a sale.
