I know which I prefer. It's worth noting that Sony and MS tend to take different approaches to gaming in general. One tends to move way more units than the other, so it's pretty clear who is better at picking the most lucrative strategy.
Yeah, none of MS's recent PR has mentioned anything about it. I doubt it exists. If it does, it might just be the XB1X.
Or maybe a game like Hollow Knight. It's a Metroidvania, but with excellent environmental storytelling, and the charm system allows for experimentation with different playstyles. After playing that, Axiom Verge just doesn't excite me as much aynmore, nor do other games that just have exploration.
It depends on your definition of revolutionizing. Meanwhile, in core gamer territory...yeah, you know what? I'm not taking whatever drug makes match 3 look revolutionary.
Agreed. Maybe it's because, as a direct sequel to the first game, Bioshock 2 doesn't exactly break new ground like the first game and Infinite do, while it can never seem to get out of the shadow of its older sister. It's a solid game in its own right though, and definitely underrated. Even if it's an extension of Bioshock 1, it's still very much worth playing, and is a more refined game mechanically too. Maybe the hate has less to do with the quality of the game itsel...
Didn't the PS3 also launch a good year after the 360, which had, in that time, built up a lead in its games library? There was more going on than just a price difference. That the PS3 managed to outsell its closest rival anyways, says a lot, and Sony isn't going to give such a lead to MS ever again.
And I'll happily pay what it's worth. All the more reason to pre-order it so I can pay it off in installments.
I do wish the touchpad was used more often, other than as a stand-in for the select button, but I've never once thought of it as something we're "stuck" with. I like when controllers have neat features like that. Also, I actually do like the button that brings up an inventory or map screen being in large and in a prominent spot.
One QoL improvement I'd love to see isn't mentioned in any of the various media that lists desired changes. It has to do with the catalogue, and wishing it was easier to scroll through. I've had to order my fair share of zen cushions for my Japanese-style house, so I can attest to how frustrating it is to scroll down to the end of the alphabetical list.
Sony really knows how to build up hype.
Apparently some people do, and this kid knows it. I'm clearly not up on modern culture either as creating a business like this would never have occurred to me.
Every word in that sentence sounds amazing. Sign me up.
So there are people who will grasp at straws trying to defend this thing. Well, if you're into it, all the power to you. It was always a sinking ship though, so I hope you enjoy it while it lasts.
And it was pretty obvious to most of us that it wouldn't deliver. I do feel bad for those who were suckered into buying one though.
The real reason why Nintendo won't drop the price of their games. Well, their diehards are clearly ok with that, so it's no mystery why Nintendo won't change in that regard.
I prefer to think of it as the PS5 pulling it forward. GoT is a game that was in development for the PS4 regardless, so it's a PS4 title first and foremost that will likely benefit from any enhancements the PS5 has to offer when it's played that way. Worry not, there will be exclusives developed specifically for the PS5 if you're looking forward to that.
That's why they're featured in Gamingbolt says dev articles. It's practically mandatory that they feature relatively obscure devs.
Perhaps not, but the PSP did excellent in its own right. It may not have sold nearly as well as the DS, but 80 million units sold is still pretty impressive. On the other hand, the Switch is basically everything the Vita should have been. If Sony were to re-enter the handheld market, they would have their work cut out for them. I'd love for them to try again, with the right focus, but I understand why they might not.
I would love for Sony to try again with a handheld, as long as they make the right choices with it. I don't think a Vita comeback is in the cards, but an entirely new handheld with all the Vita's good points that addresses all of its flaws would be splendid.
Yes really. MS is basically saying there will be no XSX exclusives for a while as Xbox exclusives will all also run on the XB1. Sony is saying that the days of PS4 exclusives are over (or at least that such titles will work on the PS5, if you're really hung up on semantics), but there will indeed be PS5 exclusives.
