I like both, as long as they're well-implemented. I've come across good and...less good examples of both. If I'm going to play what promises to be at least a long game, make battles fun, and not a chore.
Cloning? An elixir of immortality? Time travel? The ability to stop time for as long as you want? Or, the most realistic option: resignation.
Agreed, and DLC would be an easy solution. I really hope there's not an extended cut edition of that too. I'd buy it, but...a lot more grudgingly.
Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check that out.
Oh, that sounds like something worth investing in. I do long gaming binge-fests, and my Switch can get pretty hot, which is unsurprising given how much I use it.
@mynameisthumper Apparently fishermen in Japan could use it to track fish. There was a plan to use it to administer laughing gas to children. I don't think that ever actually happened though. But, the plan was in place. The Gameboy is full of interesting facts like that.
Sounds like games journalism in this day and age in a nutshell. I've lost track of how many blog writers think that what they think is the truth that should be applied to the industry as a whole. They'd never make it as journalists in any other sphere.
I think what people are really saying is, Sony doesn't have to spill everything just because people are impatient. They can do things on their own timing. I trust the judgement of the executives at a company whose last product shipped 110 million over someone in the comments section of N4G any day.
All they really had to do was release a logo. It takes skill to make hype creation look so effortless.
I must have missed the trailer with that thumbnail. WTF is that thing?
To my understanding some witchcraft went into the creation of the original Gameboy. Have you heard a rundown of all the things it can supposedly do? It's actually kind of staggering.
I wonder if they live by the ocean, because they're pretty salty.
Yep, I have the PC, PS4 and Switch combo and I'm perfectly content with that.
They both are. I've been playing both quite a bit lately.
The terraforming feature, crafting, the ability to place items outside, and the ability to move pretty much any building (with two exceptions) are huge additions though. My cascading waterfall structure with a fountain in the middle where I've moved all the residences to is proof of that.
But, there are certainly changes I would love to see in the future. In a way though, the old mechanics are kind of nostalgic. I guess we will wait and see what the future holds for ...
I love Marshal. He's been a staple of my island since he was my first camper. I'm never letting him go. Marina's also adorable. I think she was on a different list I saw. They both live on the tier of my island's residential area for more adorable villagers. The less adorable villagers live below them.
I'd love a re-release of any kind, but I would love for it to be all three games. It could just be some lazy, upscaled ports and I'd appreciate it. I do have the nice set on PS3, but I'd love to have it on a system I currently use. I do dust off my PS3 occasionally for retro gaming, and when I want to play Tokyo Jungle, but it's remarkable how much I prefer my PS4, and I'm sure I'll soon come to prefer my PS5.
I'm sure it can, but it does seem to be optimized for the PS5, so perhaps it would have to run a bit differently on the XSX.
Here we go again with the media praising MS for giving up on selling the most systems. It's understandable from their standpoint that they would seek other methods to increase their bottom line, but let's be honest that that's what it really is. Plus, I'm sure they still want to sell a lot of XSXs. Even if their services are where they're putting their focus, a company doesn't put out a new product with no intention of it doing well, even one as large as MS.
I agree. They both have their challenging aspects that can make for engaging combat. Action-based requires timing, dodging, etc. But, turn-based can be challenging in its own right. Since you can't just dodge or block attacks (unless you have a character perform an action that allows them to do that), battles can take a lot more planning and strategy.
