I have no intention of reading this article, but is the author insinuating that the MS who prioritizes anything but games and tries to "revolutionize" anything that doesn't suit its agenda is now dead? Sure, they bought some studios but until they prove they're not going to pull their usual tactic of using them for one or two games to boost the launch lineup of their next system then completely forget all about them and act like they don't have much first party muscle, ...

It's not a future I support, but the onus is on any devs who stand behind it to get me on board too. So far, none have succeeded and I doubt indie devs will fare any better than AAA ones in that regard. I suppose that as my boycott list currently consists entirely of AAA devs that's a bit of a leg up for indie devs, but the prospect of convincing me of the merits of something I'm adamantly against is still quite slim regardless of who takes a stab at it.

Wow, this is almost as surprising as finding out that water is liquid.

TFW a piece of your childhood gets remade...and Activision's name is attached to it. Sigh.

Whoa! I mean, it was pretty obvious even from the previews and trailers that this wasn't going to be a very good entry in the series, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. I mean, I believe it, but I'm shocked.

Not to mention, the XB1 has to more than double its sales to catch the PS4 and although the Switch is doing quite well for its first couple years it still has a very long road ahead of it. Suffice to say, no E3 presentation can do the impossible. If Sony is going to skip an E3, it's this coming one, and I'm sure they will still have a presence there even if they don't do a press conference.

Is this from spot-on Patcher, or out-to-lunch Patcher? The guy makes so many armchair predictions and sometimes he's right, but sometimes he couldn't be more wrong, and I don't personally think he's right often enough for someone who makes so much. Seriously, I wish someone paid me for my opinions. I'm not always right, but that's clearly not a criteria.

Whoa. That's how to do a trailer. I'm more hyped for this than I was a minute and 18 seconds ago.

Well, it's already on my buy later list due to games 2 and 3 not being on the disc. The lack of subtitles just makes me that much more inclined to wait.

You're right that it doesn't make sense...unless there's some underlying reason for it. Sony wouldn't just ditch E3 for no reason. Also, they've got us talking. Whatever they have up their sleeves, whether it's the PS5 or something else, not having an E3 conference has curiously had the effect of raising hype for what's to come. It's also doubtful they will be avoiding E3 entirely (they would be foolish to). I'm sure they will still have a booth, and m...

Of course they are. This is just a small part of their master plan.

2774d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

My guess is they have something big to announce, like the PS5, but it won't be ready to be unveiled at E3. They could probably do an E3 conference but it may not be their best show. Instead they could wait for something like Gamescom, PGW or even PSX to unveil it. There are more annual battlefields than E3. It's not recommended they skip it, but the PS4 will still dominate, and there's plenty more opportunity to show up and steal the show.

Gee, I never thought I'd say this, but they have a point. Screw idiots who buy MTs, they're literally the reason why subpar third party devs keep adding them in their games.

Interesting...I guess they figure no matter what kind of press conference their competitors have, they still have the lead, and not by a small margin either. I guess someone else needs a chance to win E3 for a change. Also, they're gearing up for something big, whether it's the PS5 or something else. A lot could change between now and next E3 too, so I guess we will wait and see what happens.

Oh, EA isn't doing it themselves? That's good news.

2776d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Wow, sounds like EA is going to give us something worthwhile for a change. Now, how are they going to mess this up?

2776d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The remake that's all on the disc, so Crash.

2776d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I disagree. Buying more studios doesn't necessarily mean the MS that uses studios for one or two games then forgets about them is gone. Time will tell, but I'm not so sure they've really changed.

2777d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I'm sure someone did. I'm not one of them though. Someone has to explain the appeal of these games sometime as I just don't get it. Maybe I'll consider giving them another shot on my system of choice, but that's only if I can get them for really cheap, and preferably bundled together.

This is sad news indeed. Future Marvel productions will have a Stan Lee sized hole to fill. I was recently amused by his cameo in the latest Spider-Man game, and now I'm wondering if that's his last cameo. I guess it's hard to tell when he recorded his line for that in relation to when he starred in or voiced a cameo in another production. I suppose it isn't that important. What is, is that a legend has died. We will ensure that his impressive legacy lives on forever.
