If this will work perfectly on my North American PS3, and not be difficult to deal with (language barrier) then you can fully expect me to import one of these. Chances are we won't see them over here until mid-late 2012, so importing may be the only option.
And given my current work situation (shitty TV in a terrible apartment away from my 55" Bravia 3DTV back home), this will work even better if it can display an image directly through the PS3 rather than using it ...
I can think of a number of things the PS4 should do.
Examples:
- A fully connected and social Playstation Network (sort of like the Vita's PSN, but better. This includes Cross Game Chat, but also with Facebook, GMAIL and others. Not just PSN)
- Runs all (or most) games in 1080p, 3D and at least 60 fps at the same time
- Easier access to all the consoles' features (aka even more streamlined XMB) with a better in-game XMB showing only necessary i...
I actually agree with most of these.
Although I do sort of want the God of War Origins Collection since I never fully played the first PSP game, and never played Ghost of Sparta.
Not to mention I want to play God of War in 3D. It just seems so fitting.
But I'll probably hold off until December when I get all my time off AFTER I finish the 7 or so games I have pre-ordered (Uncharted 3, Team ICO Collection, Modern Warfare 3, Dark Souls, Battlefield ...

It may be Garrus's "friend" you can choose to save or kill during his loyalty mission. Since Bioware did say people will be dead, or alive, depending on your ME2 ending. This guy may replace Garrus if he died in your finale and if you chose to keep him (his friend) alive (or just didn't do Garrus's loyalty mission).
Yeah, we all need to stop fueling Gamestop's profits. Buy new, and do so from somewhere else. Amazon has proven to be absolutely fantastic when it comes to buying games. I've had zero problems with them so far.
Although I do have 3 or so games pre-ordered with Gamestop.ca, those will be the last. I'll be sticking to Amazon from now on.
And if you played all of them, you'd get a different feel from every single one.
My top 5 new IPs have to be:
Uncharted : Proved video games can be as good as (or better than) Hollywood movies. Pretty much set a benchmark for gaming animations and acting/voice acting. Excellent pacing and really fun & varied gameplay just add to the whole experience.

This actually seems about right. Most people use their PS3's as a multimedia device hooked up to their HDTV (or 3DTV). I actually know plenty of people who mainly bought the PS3 for everything BUT games. Since it had such a large amount of features for such a small price (I know even more that bought it for games, I'm just saying).

I hope some top notch game developers do what they want and load up the BluRay with more content than the Xbox 360's DVD. I heard the next DOOM game may be doing just that. You really think Microsoft is going to cut that game from their console? Everyone loves Doom, and it just means a definite bestseller on PC and PS3. Microsoft's loss.

Uncharted 3 on consoles, hands down.
As for everyone comparing the Uncharted 3 and Gears betas. The main, and huge, difference between them is that the Uncharted 3 beta was ACTUALLY a beta. The Gears 3 "Beta" (Multiplayer demo) was just there for people to try the multiplayer. It was pretty much in it's full form.
So yeah, don't compare those just yet. Wait until the full games come out and Uncharted 3 will blow Gears 3 away without any pro...
I'm pretty sure they'll announce it at this upcoming E3. I'm not changing my guns on that prediction just because a couple big wigs say some things. Sony knows the PS3 is almost at it's limit (as the first party devs, Naughty Dog being the most recent, are pretty much openly saying so), but they don't want to say "Hey, PS4 is coming out soon!" since it'd be bad for business.
There are tons of people, I'm sure, who don't own a PS3 yet...
Bullet drop takes little to no effect when you're up close to someone, you know, where most people quickscope from. So they may have these little gimmicks to make the gunplay seem more "real", but it wont help if you can pull your scope up and fire with pinpoint accuracy in seconds (or less).
I'll be waiting to see what happens with this.
I liked the new Cole and I'm a fan of the new Dante. I have zero problems with seeing how the developers want to develop a character in their own way. It adds diversity and keeps things fresh.
Otherwise we may as well be stuck with the same person for the rest of time. And by that time that archetype will just be beaten to death, boring and annoying.
I was pretty pissed when Sucker Punch buckled under the pressure and changed their vision of the new Cole....
So help me god if Quickscoping is in the retail version I will sell it back just as fast as I sold Black Ops. That is unless it has a redeeming Co-op mode/Survival modes. Quickscoping ruins games for me and this is where realism actually helps keep gaming fun.
Getting sniped by a guy running around like he's carrying an assault rifle can be easily compared to games (like Call of Duty) where people die in one or two shots with certain guns.
Not gonna lie, put any and all female characters from DoA and you got yourself a successful list (depending on your personal opinions). I'm not one for big breasts, but they're all so perfect in that game. It makes me hate it.
But my favorite on that list has to be Rikku. Hands down. That and Catherine. Other than that, Ayane from Ninja Gaiden/DoA, Kurenai from Red Ninja, Ayame from Tenchu, and Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Those have to be my favorites.
Looks cool. It'd be nice to see the trophy screen itself since the compare screen was obviously going to look like this.
This game looks hella hot. But I don't plan on making any purchases on sex appeal alone. Gonna need to see more before I decide anything.
This game is going to be epic. I don't doubt that one bit.
Bioshock is easily my second favorite series this generation.
