I love the PS3, but it's not true that Mirror's Edge looks better on the PS3. I played both demos and the 360 version did look a little better -- mainly because it has better anti-aliasing and less screen tearing.
Dead Space does look almost identical on both platforms, but Eurogamer and people at beyond3d reported that the 360 version had a more solid frame rate, while the PS3 version was prone to minor bouts of slowdown.
Well, I'm not sure how good White Knight Chronicles is going to be since Famitsu gave it a pretty low review score, but I am really excited about the rest of those games. Uncharted 2 is my most anticipated game, and Killzone 2 and GOW3 aren't far behind. Infamous also looks promising, but I need to see more before it becomes a must-have in my eyes.
But as others have already pointed out, where's Heavy Rain and GT5?

I am a multi-console owner and I definitely recommend you buy the PS3. It really is a fabulous game console and has a nice selection of great games. Next year looks even better.
I think the PS3 is going to have a good year. There are quite a few good exclusives coming in 2009 and I think that will help the console to pick up some steam.
I agree, though, that the 360 will probably have a pretty good lineup for 2009 as well. Microsoft tend to hold their cards a little closer to their chest than Sony does, and I fully expect that there will be a few surprises in store for 360 owners next year. So, I think both consoles will end up doing well.
I completely agree. I have both systems and I enjoy them both. It is all about the games.
I mean, if we were talking about movies would we all be arguing about which DVD or Blu-ray player we are using to watch movies? I don't think so. Ok, so obviously there are some differences between the movie and gaming realm, but I do think people get a little too worked up about this stuff, when we should really be paying a lot more attention to the games.
I would love to see Mass Effect on the PS3 so that more people could experience it, but in all honesty I seriously doubt that it will. I think that MS and Bungie both felt comfortable in their relationship making the game and I think they will work something out with EA to keep it exclusive to the 360.

Bioshock 2 is multiplatform, so it is a positive for both consoles, not uniquely for the 360.

Uncharted is so great. Nathan Drake is one of the most likable and believable characters to ever be seen in a video game. Naughty Dog are such talented developers and I can't wait to see more from Uncharted 2.
I agree. The tearing was really the ONLY negative about the graphics of the first one. Fix that and it would be even more impressive.
Uncharted is currently the best looking game on consoles, in my opinion. Several games come close, but none have the amazing combination of graphical positives that Uncharted does. Killzone 2 might be a different story, but I will have to see it on my own HDTV to make a final decision.
I absolutely agree. Uncharted is my favorite game this gen and MGS4 is not far behind. But you know...I think that people who don't get to play some of the 360 games are also missing out on some great games.
I can only hope the article is correct. I don't hate the Wii at all; I just don't think that it deserves to sell as well as it is. I think it should be in last place, yet it is in first place. I don't like things that sell mostly on hype. I feel that Nintendo would do a better job for gamers if they weren't selling such ridiculously high numbers of their console. It would be good for the industry if the Wii would fall into its deserved 3rd place.
Multiplayer is great. I don't know what you guys are complaining about. There are a few MINOR issues, but Epic have already said that they are working on fixes. I love the multiplayer, as well as the campaign. Great game all around.
Well, I think the PS3 and the 360 are both great consoles, but I find this dev's comments pretty strange, since they seem to go against what we have heard from a huge percentage of developers. I thought it was fairly established that the PS3 was somewhat difficult to develop for. I mean, that has been the explanation given for why many PS3 multiplatform games look somewhat worse than their 360 counterparts.
Maybe for this dev and the engine and tools they are using the PS3 turn...
