How do you know that the RROD still exists? I know that people with older consoles sometimes have their consoles fail, but I don't know anybody with a console bought in the last year that has had one fail. I love how people are just glossing over the fact that most reviewers have rated Gears 2 higher than Resistance 2. They dismiss the Metacritic scores by saying its just subjective, but then WHY ARE WE PAYING ATTENTION TO THE SUBJECTIVE OPINION OF JUST ONE GUY AT IGN!

It's very similar to the first one. Improved in a couple ways, but most of it is very similar to the first one. If you didn't like the first one at least a little bit, I doubt you would like the sequel.

If you have a PS3 get Resistance 2, it is a great game. If you have a 360 get Gears of War 2, it is a fantastic game. If you own both consoles, like I do, get both games if you can. I do have to admit, though, that I like Gears 2 quite a bit better. I enjoy the gameplay more and it seems much more polished and epic overall. They are both very good games though.

Achievements and Trophies = nice extra bonus feature.
I like achievements/trophies, they add a little something to a game. I don't buy a game for them, but I like that they are there. I have fun trying to get some of them and fun is what it is all about.
Why do some people enjoy spreading misinformation so much. I have a PS3 and a 360 and you cannot just copy game saves on either console and get achievements/trophies. It doesn't work that way. I have both consoles and they are both great in their own ways, but it is simply ridiculous to say that you like one and dislike the other (achievements or trohpies), they are basically the same thing. The only real difference is that all the games on the 360 support trophies, while only some games on the PS3 do. But Sony was smart enough to do something about that and now all PS3 games will be required to have trophies after January 2009.

Nice to see this confirmed. I have a friend who is about to buy a 360 and he wants to get the Jasper chipset if possible. The Jasper is pure 65nm if I'm not mistaken and will be cooler and quieter than previous iterations. You're right, though, cherrypie, none of the people I know who have purchased a 360 since last summer has had a problem with their 360s.
I think that the 360 has a sizable lead that the PS3 is going to have to work hard to overcome. But I agree that all three consoles are doing well enough that none of them are going to just die off. That is a good thing. It is a great time to be a gamer.
I'm sorry but your comments are way of track. DMC4 and Mirror's Edge were both reported to perform slightly better on the 360. DMC4 looked the same on both consoles but the 360 version had better anti-aliasing. The PS3 version uses temporal anti-aliasing, which is generally considered to be inferior because it causes nasty blurring artifacts.
